Posting an "I'm new" post as recommended in the guidelines but really I'm like a cat: I'd prefer to wait a bit and check all the corners and make sure I feel comfortable in a new space before exposing my belly. So, just a few quick points:

ASD, Level 1, late diagnosis (in my 60s) and yes, it explained everything which is why I finally insisted on doing it. Native Chicagoan. Like to travel, especially to visit my adult children, but also very much a homebody.

Looking forward to getting to know this place and the people here.

Liz

Welcome to WP! I can relate to your feelings about writing a "Hi! I'm new!" post. But, maybe it's for the greater good and a way to weed out any introverts?

Welcome to Wrong Planet. I lived in many places; one of them was Chicago. It was in a small new development called Villa Park. That was over 60 years ago.

I'm confused. :silent: Per MBTI I have a strong introversion preference.

I refered to the fact that new comers are supposed to make a post where they introduce themselves to the community. It was meant as a joke.

Welcome Liz! I grew up in northern IL and lived there most of my life. Retired to Mi, got a very late in life diagnosis, haven't looked back. It was a huge relief! Glad you are with us!

Thank you all for the wonderful welcome! I left my computer behind and forgot what the login was, so I had to wait until I got back home to login again! So silly of me....and frustrating.

I hope to get to know this forum and take part on a more regular basis. I've made note of my login so I can access no matter what device I'm on in future!

Glad to hear there are other nearby posters. It feels like there isn't as much opportunity for like-minded community in the Midwest.
