Hmmmm... Not a lot of posts here recently, but here goes.
Hi, I'm a 60 yo older dad with 2 lovely daughters aged 20 and 12, the younger is ASD level 2. I have just been told unofficially by 2 Clin Psychs that I'm almost definitely ASD myself. A bit of a shock but I find myself identifying a bit better with younger daughter now.
It's going to be a long learning curve for us both, I reckon. :nerdy:

Since you are in Australia, you might be interested in the videos on Youtube by Tony Attwood. They can be helpful getting a broader introduction to Aspergers. A free booklet that might be helpful also can be downloaded here (pdf);

That's very similar to what happened to me. My daughter was diagnosed, and it was my wife who suspected I may be on the spectrum too. At first I thought she was delusional but as I learned more about the ASD traits, the more I realized she was right.

With this knowledge my daughter and I have a unique connection and we're able to lean on each other somewhat (she's 24 now) and I have a better relationship with her than I do with my two NT kids.
