can't read the article rn due to time but i really liked Interstellar (2014) and Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (2001)

Just glanced at first few on the list. “The Last Starfighter” was a fun little movie about “local boy does good” with video games and space battles with a “could be you” type hero from (then) present day earth. Don’t think I have seen it on many lists.
And it has Robert Preston from the Music Man as an interstellar salesman/conniver - kind of a Harold Hill reprisal which (for me) made it even more fun.

Interesting list.
