comfort tv you throw on

spongebob is really good for me too. unfortunately the quality dropoff after 2010 or so is brutal. i have the first two seasons on dvd but i can only imagine rewatching that so many times, the episodes are just too short and not in enough bulk to do that

Me neither. I never have a TV show or movie playing unless I'm watching it.

I don't use live television at all because I hate ads, and in the UK it's illegal unless you've bought a BBC license, even if you only watch the other channels that have ads and are nothing to do with the BBC, so stuff that for a game of soldiers. I do watch a few videos, but I have trouble finding much that I enjoy, even though I have a huge range of videos to choose from.

I do use background sound at times, chiefly pink noise or rain and thunder sounds, mostly to drown out noisy neighbours and other external intrusive noises, and I suppose my chosen background sounds have become something of a comfort to me. I rarely play music as "wallpaper." I usually listen to it quite intensely.
