I'm afraid Jamesy that wishful thinking isn't going to change a person's personal preferences.

I had a male friend growing up (worst wingman since Gypsy Scotty!) who preferred shorter well endowed women. I preferred tall thin women. He wound up marrying a 5 foot 10 125 pound woman, and I married a 5 foot 3 heavier woman. My wife passed away in 2017 after 34 years of marriage, and his wife stuck it out in a difficult marriage to him since 1980. Both of us have 3 daughters and several grandchildren.

As an unattractive and generally unappealing guy I agree with James, more women should just settle for me. :nerdy:

These threads have become something of a series of tragic comedies.

One day Jamesy, maybe in heaven, you'll have your pick of lovely, satisfied women.

Until then....

Short men should not be so demanding!

If she has that preference, that's fine. It's no more her fault that she's tall than it is that a short guy is short.

I have a height preference myself, and do kinda understand. I'm average height (5'4" or 5'5") so there are a lot of men and women that are taller than me so that works out. But i can't fault a tall woman for still wanting someone taller than her. We can't help what and who we are attracted to.

All I was really trying to say in this thread is that tall women might have a harder time finding a tall man because a fair few might like shorter women. It’s exactly like someone my height wanting to date a 5ft2 woman because I would want to feel more masculine. Not realising at the same time that a small lady would rather go for a man 6ft or over than 5ft8 thus putting me at a disadvantage.

Personally though I have no issue dating a woman few inches taller than myself and if anything I am physically attracted to tall ladies more so than shorter ones but that is just my preference.

The shorter the height, the bigger the ego :jester:

Glen Danzig comes to mind.

As you all know I am about 5ft8.

Did you offer to wear platform shoes so your dates can wear heels? If you haven't, you are trying hard enough to get dates.

All the women who showered interest in me were shorter than me and I am just 161cm; so that must tells something.

We are apes, you can’t change that.

I'm 180 cm and have had interest from women taller than me.

And I've seen (some of) those same women become interested in guys shorter than me.

Is it just me, or does the lack of romantic opportunities often inspire those who lack romantic opportunities to declare new rules for who can and cannot have those romantic opportunities?
