So they arrange a blind date with this guy. I won't go into a lot of detail, but he does disclose being on the spectrum at one point, and I was impressed by his apparent ability to not make the sort of gaffes an autistic guy would typically make on a date like that. It seemed as though he'd gone to a lot of effort to teach himself what to say, and not say, in a situation like that. Or had gotten a lot of coaching. I'd be curious how old he was when diagnosed. I don't think this is exactly the same thing as masking, but I can see a lot of potential for people on the spectrum to improve their chances in various aspects of like with such coaching or whatever happens to be the case.

EDIT I didn't post this on L&D because I don't think it only applies to dating per se.

It's a reality show, but there's probably some degree of scripting.
