There should be daylights saving time or standard time throughout the year. No changing the clocks.

I agree with you. I think daylight savings time should be all year round.

I think the majority of the public would support that. I think a few years ago one branch of US Congress voted to end it. IDK why the other branch didn't pass it except for those parts of the government being called Congress instead of Progress

I read daylight savings time is bad for people health, I don’t know why. I love spring time better, more sun light.

I'm currently impatient for Daylight saving time to kick in because i like lighter evenings.

Is one of the markers of spring which is my favourite season. I sometimes think we'd be better off just sticking with BST but then i wonder if I'd miss the rhythm of the changes.

In any case, we seem to have a national debate about it twice a year, most people seem to agree its pointless in a modern age but changing it seems to be beyond us.

True. I don't care which time we'd stick with if we gave up one, but I want it done. It's not only about people, I've heard it's bad for cattle, too; when someone goes to milk the cows an hour earlier than usual, the cows are still sleepy and when it's hour later, they get cranky and confused that their routine is disturbed... or something along those lines. I don't work with cows, but this is what I've heard.

arizona is doing this one thing right, avoiding DST.

We have to wait until 31st March for BST. Why? I want lighter evenings now.

How did that decision get made I wonder if the residents of each state need to circulate a petion around to get it on the ballet so they can vote for it

I have to get groceries today and I only got maybe 5 hours sleep and it's the start of March Break so the store will likely be full of screaming kids.

It's not even really spring yet. And when it is spring, it will not officially feel like it until it's almost summer.

In some ways, using clock time and dst and time zones and all that is so.. useless? I mean, what REALLY matters about what time it is? How many hours of sunlight are left to get something accomplished before it gets dark and cold ? Stuff like that where it doesn't really matter what the clock says.. it matters what the light is. But w/o clocks and standardized time we'd have a very difficult time arranging to meet up with people, conducting business etc. So maybe it's all a necessary man-made construct for participating in society. Solution: Do not participate in society. Just go live in the woods and take trips to the beach when the sun is bright.

Heart attacks, apparently. And it can mess with the circadian rhythm and disrupt sleep. There are more road traffic accidents but apparently slightly fewer fatal ones. Don't know why that would be.

It's a complicated issue, but I'd vote against changing the clocks because it causes me quite a bit of trouble and doesn't directly do me any good that I know of. I've tried refusing to change my clock, but most people just obey, so it causes problems when I interact with those people.

But seriously, every year they say changing the clocks twice a year is bad, whoever "they" are, that it causes all kinds of health problems and can even be life-threatening, and yet every year they do absolutely nothing. They will probably ban Woody Woodpecker cartoons due of the double entendre of his name before they ban daylight savings time.

as I understand it, only congress can make or break daylight savings time in the states. states can opt out, though, via their own electorate/congresses.

I was hoping for brighter days and sunnier ways. It's dark and gloomy and my ways seem to be stormy.

And there would be medical advantages from discontinuing it.
(But not from doing it exclusively, an idea the U.S. Congress has been toying with.)
