I'm a demigirl, meaning half nonbinary, but the only option was female. I usually don't mention my gender online. I'm usually feminine like Elmer in The Big Snooze and The Stupid Cupid though with a bit of scenemo.

Just as an FYI, you can update your profile gender to Non-Binary if you ever wish to.

I don't know if males can answer this thread.Sometimes I deliberately choose the gender as female to avoid spam aimed at men.

More like I don't have any to hide.
But let others assume and go from there.

I wouldn't try to correct them when it's not possible to misgender me.

The female role and percept is just a convenient and a very familiar social factor to me since it's something I have to accustom to since birth.

I've yet to understand how people interacts and arrange their social dynamics to me if I don't pass as a female though.

I'm pretty sure it says female on my profile and that's my gender at birth as they say

I'm what one called a "tomboy" back in the day. In college I avoided feminine clothing. I still do to some degree, but I think it's mostly protective (don't want to attract negative attention). That said, I don't meet the slew of female standards. I consider myself female but don't "flaunt" it. I think most neurotypical women would say I'm low on the "girly" scale.

I wish I could but I have a very feminine body shape. I also have long hair that I either straighten with a GHD or wear in a ponytail. Despite that, I never wear skirts or dresses or low-cut tops. I wear t-shirts and pants or trackies.

I tell you what I am reluctant to do though and that it to tick them boxes where it asks you all this sort of stuff for equality reasons

If it's equality then why are they asking. It makes no sense to me

To me you should treat people equal without having to know what their pronouns or preferences are.

And who knows what they do with this information anyway. It makes me highly suspicious

The point of asking about "pronouns and preferences" is to know how to refer to you without offending you.

If you don't care what pronoun someone uses when referring to you, good for you, but a lot of people do care about how they are referred to.

I used to hide my gender online more when I was younger, some people tend to underestimate women in terms of skills and intelligence and I used to find that very offensive. Now I care a lot less whether I am taken seriously or not, I just say what I want to say.
