Saving A World Without Salvation


This world in my hands
Weighs heavily on my mind
As the hourglass is turned
Shifting the sands of time
The nights grow darker
The days brighter
The storms angrier
The wars meaner
The lovely flowers that once brought me joy
Are withering and wilting in the wind
And the blue skies, green lands, and the seas
Are now blackened by mankind's sins.
Brother betrays his sister
Sister hates her brother
Child steals from mother
No love lost for one another
In the danger of strangers
Who declared their love to me
But parted are we
Yet my reason for existing has finally emerged
In the despair I shall be deeply submerged
With mighty staff in hand
I'll defend this sacred land
To defend a world without salvation!
