I think the woman has the right to make any decision about her health care, regardless of her reasons.
A person can't be forced to have chemotherapy.
It's not her parents' decision to make.

I agree it would be upsetting if my child who was over 18 made this decision.
Ultimately however, they're an adult.
I would ensure they'd had a lot of input with specialists when making their decision.

That being said, cold caps are known to save people's hair.
