Are you scared of the sound of fireworks?

I need to be pretty distant from the fireworks when they go off.

I'm sensitive to some types of noise but irregular loud bangs don't bother me much.

I'm very scared of the sound of fireworks. They sound like little grenades going off.

I don't like the sound of them and I don't like being near them as I imagine one flying off into my face by accident.

I'm not scared as long as I know they're fireworks

I used to be scared of the sound when I was little. However I've been various environments with loud noises like assisting my dad a little who worked in construction, working as a dishwasher, working as a custodian using floor-care machines, & working retail. So loud noises kinda quit scaring me after I became an adult. The main reason I'll get scared is if the noise is unexpected & it was quiet before the fireworks start.

I should add that my girlfriend who's very likely on the spectrum is very scared of loud sounds including fireworks. She likes to look at them thou & her family never thought to get her those ear muff things that reduce loud noises(I forget what they're called) & instead her family just quit going to firework displays/shows

They bother me less than when I was a kid. They used to give me panic attacks. Now I can tolerate them fairly well if I’m expecting them.

The worst it can do to me is actually explode unexpectedly on me because I'm the one who's lighting said firework.

I hate the loud noise but I love the pretty colors of the fireworks themselves at night.

Not really I kind of like them...cause some can souind sort of thundery and I lke thunder...so I guess I might say I kind of like fireworks.
