Forsaken Humanity (by me)
♡ If I am truly heartless, then why am I crying?
(Crying for you! Just for you!)
◇ And If my body is starting to fade, then why am I still breathing?
(Still alive for you! Just for you!)
♤ Even if I have have lost my mind then why do I keep thinking?
(Thinking about you! And only you!)
♧ And if I never had a soul, then why am I continuing to exist?
(Continuing on for you! Just for you!)
And as this world of forsaken humanity once full of meaning suddenly stops all around us...
The heart drowns as the world floods and storms around us.
The body falls down as the earth crumbles and slides over us.
The mind blows to the winds scattering dust & debree across the skies above us.
The soul burns and fades away as that brightest of bright lights takes what is left of us in our world without salvation or redemption.
(Or so they tell me, yes they try to tell me!)
And in the end when all there is, is dust, I will still be longing, longing to be with you, and only you.
(Yes you and only you!)
(Yes you and only you!)
(Yes you and only you!)
(Yes you and only you!)

Do you write in a journal?
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
And no lol I've tried keeping journals in the past to record this stuff but I'm not very good at it. It's hard to explain why... Whenever I write stuff it's like use it or lose it with me.

I’m not very good at writing in journals either. I seem to do better with writing stuff on the computer. It’s easier to edit, I guess. I like the idea of a paper journal because I like to sketch and draw too, but it never works out.

Same in my case, plus honestly my thoughts are way too disorganized.
My mom and my sister are both diagnosed with ADHD. I sometimes wonder if I have it too...
But then again when they tried to diagnose me with this as a kid and prescribed me ritalin it had a VERY bad effect on me so that was kind of how we found it wasn't ADHD and later at 8 years old I was officially diagnosed with autism.
Anywho I know I'm not the best artist but I like to try and do something creative whenever I can. Like writing poetry or drawing pictures of flowers.
I really love art, especially classic art. I think my fav artist is John Waterhouse because of the way he depicted women in various roles of mythology. What I would give to paint with such realistic detail like he did.
I also love the modern fantasy art by artist Anne Stokes.

Waterhouse and I go WAY back.
I love many different genres of art. I’ve gotten more into surrealism lately and other offshoots of modernism, but I still enjoy a bit of everything. Going to art museums is always something I’ve enjoyed doing. I’d really like to go to the Museum of Modern Art, but I’m too broke for that sort of thing. I’ll go eventually. “Starry Night” is one of my favorite paintings. Seeing it in person would be awesome.

Yeah I've only been to one art museum in my life in Atlanta, but I loved it. And I've loved looking at art online since I first got the internet at 14.
Speaking of Waterhouse, someone actually designed an Oracle Deck with images of his paintings. It's too expensive for me right now but I definetly plan to get it someday. This kind of card deck is just purely awesome.

Btw I noticed you have an avatar of Medusa. Anne Stokes did two interesting artworks of Medusa you might like? Medusa is an interesting figure in mythology.
Personally as a lover of darkly mermaids I like the ones she did of these mysterious sirens here.
I also love the ones she did depicting what appears to be The White Witch from The Chronicles of Narnia.

Also these are some of my personal favorite paintings by John William Waterhouse.
Lamia and Lamia & The Soldier
(I love how she is depicted with a shedded snake skin wrapped around her waist to indicate who and what she is)
The Mermaid
(I love mermaids)
The Magic Circle
(Very "witchy")
Paintings of Circe
(Interesting Greek Sorceress character)
Cleopatra
(One of my favorite female rulers in history)
Echo and Narcissus
(An interesting subject of Greek Tragedy)

I definitely think Medusa is cool.
I’ve always liked the Echo and Narcissus painting. I also really like the following paintings by Waterhouse.
Hylas and the Nymphs:
Gather Ye Rosebuds (I love the poem.):
Narcissus:
Windflowers:
The Lady of Shalott (I love the poem.):

Yes she is. I also think Lamia was a cool monster as was Echidna. I think the fact that Medusa, Echidna, and Lamia all had serpent-like qualities was very cool (snakes are one of my favorite animals).
Those other paintings are very nice too.
I forgot to show another one of my favorites. "The Siren".
Sirens are another one of my favorite Greek monsters and Anne Stokes drew some really beautiful sirens herself.
There's also this hauntingly beautiful siren's song I discovered on Youtube (I love music aswell as art lol ).

Also not John Waterhouse related, but here are some of my other favorite classic paintings.
"Lilith" by John Collier
"Lady Lilith" by Dante Gabriel
"The Lamia" by Herbert James Draper (just like in the paintings by John William Waterhouse he depicts her with a shedded snakeskin wrapped around her waist)
"The Bat Woman" by Albert Joseph Penot
"Cassandra and Ajax" by Johann Heinrich Wilheilm (Cassandra is the only character I truly felt bad for in The Iliad. I know what it's like to feel ignored and dismissed as "crazy" when you know terrible things are happening...)
The Priestess of Delphi (another by John Collier)
Both paintings of Marie Antoinette holding a rose by Elizabeth Vigee Le Brun
A Vestal Virgin by Angelica Kauffman (I think the Priestesses of Vesta in Ancient Roman Society were fascinating because they held more power and privileges than most Roman citizens, male or female, as long as they didnt break their vow of celibacy).
Knight, Devil, and Death by Albrecht Durer
Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse also by Albrecht Durer (I'm fascinated by these guys I won't lie )
Tamamo-no-Mae and The Archer Miura Kuranosuke by Yashima Gakutei (the evil shape-shifting fox woman who almost succeeded in destroying Japan)
Shichifukujin hanging scroll (the Seven Gods of Luck),
Takiyashi the Witch and the Skeleton Spectre by Utagawa Kuniyoshi
Raijin & Fujin by Ogata Kurin (the storm gods who saved Japan from Mongolian invaders by destroying their ships twice with a powerful tsunami).
An onna-musha (Japanese warrior woman) by Utagawa Kuniyoshi
Thats all I can think of for now, and my phone is almost dead lol
