For older folks, do you still feel young for your age?

I feel 17ish. Not quite grown up because I still feel inferior when adults are talking. That I have nothing worthy to add. I still sometimes daydream when others are talking due to my inattentive nature and that doesn't do me any favours.

I've felt 13-14 since I was 10.

up until my late 50s, yes. then COVID happened and I suddenly am old.

I used to think I was wrong for not being more like others. Now I understand not everything about them, or their ways, is better. But I live in their world, so I don't rock the boat.

I may still be a teenager, but yes, i feel much younger than my age. Like a young child except with the intellect of an adult

I feel as though I'm in my early 20s despite my knee pain. I'm a young, spry Mod in a 49 year old crippled body.

No, I feel extremely old when the younglings don't have a clue about anything that was popular from the 2010s or earlier. Or they make fun of you and call you a boomer if you remember. Or when they ask things like "What did people do while on the toilet before they had phones?" They've never heard of books or magazines, apparently.

How old? I am in my 30's almost 35 and I do kind of feel young for my age, lol idk I kind of feel like in my 20's is when I really had my more teen phase, and so at this age in a way I feel more like a younger slightly niave 20 year old than what I pictured 35 would feel like.

But maybe tons of people in their mid 30's feel like that and just don't say so. Then at other times I certainly feel like 20 year olds are basically children.

I remember my grandma and grandpas house always had magazines in the bathroom when I was a kid, so yeah I certainly looked at those while I was pooping. But other than that like sometimes you just didn't have anything to look at while pooping(aside from the bathroom decor and whatever designs are on the shower curtain or towls) and that was ok to.

Fast forward to me being an adult with a smart phone I almost feel it is tragic to poop without having my smart phone to scroll through while doing so.

I still have to remind myself, when I'm around people my own age, that these are my peers. I Still tend to think of them as 'adults'.

I can be quite childish and annoying at times.

I don't feel any different than i did at 17, really.

I never seem to have related very well to people of the same age.

In my head I remain in my late 20's and early 30's.

I seem to get on best with people in their 30's'40's and 50's. My wife is 13 years younger that me.

People of my own age seem very old and I dont seem to have much in common with them.

Yes! This is me as well. If a group of people at work are having a discussion, I "mustn't interrupt the adults".

This is very true for me.

I am 72, I still have lots of interests and activities, my brain seems just as agile as my younger days, maybe even more because of my late diagnosis and better self understanding.
My health is good, compared to people on the street I see struggling with lots of stuff I seem to have escaped. Can still hike and carry a backpack full of rocks for miles, still stand square and put my palms on the floor in front of me, still sit cross legged on the floor and get up with no problems.
Well, maaaybee just a bit slower sometimes at the end of the day.

I consider my mind to be child like, and not childish, if you are looking at "maturity levels".
I am a fully mature and even ageing adult, who still enjoys exploring nature and having adventures, still finding new things to appreciate and appreciating the old standbys as well.
I guess I wonder just what you meant by "young for your age". ?

I felt the same at your age, maybe I was emotionally 14 at age 19, but had so much more education or desire to use my mind than others my "real age". It all evened out after a while.
