I probably had mild OCD when I was a kid; I had to touch certain stuff certain ways one and a half times... also when I stim (one flick of the string for every sentence or thought/item in a made-up story) I always flick the string twice for the second sentence/item/thought.

This guy at the YMCA would wash his hands 85 times and then when he got them dirty because he had to touch the doorknob to open his door, he hot frustrated and had to slam the (heavy, steel) door 85 times! His neighbors complained, tellng the staff to move him out of there. They put him in a room next to the bathroom. At least someone was thinking! :) When my dad came to visit one weekend he was bragging about how this guy at work had to check everything 8 times; he had OCD. I said something like "Oh yeah? Try 85!" :P

3s and 7s for me as well. Nice and symmetrical. :)

I love the number 333 especially.

3, 9, 27, 81 and 99.

Not 6 or 33, you'd think, huh?

Multiples of 3, especially 9. I won't type any number into the microwave that isn't divisible by 3. I use "156" every morning to cook water for my coffee.

The only exception is 7; I used to count to 7 every time before I turned out a light, but not anymore.

My son adores the number 3. He can fill up sheets of paper with 3s.

When I was a kid, even numbers, 2 or 4, for touching things. I used to have to touch something an even number of times or it was 'incomplete'. It was very difficult to turn on a light! :)

Now I don't do that, but I get a lot of pleasure out of recurring numbers, 3333, 4444 etc I usually notice people's post counts if they're heading towards one of these 'neat' numbers.

2 and 5 mainly, I prefer evens, but I do love the number 5, I like things to "match", so I like to have even numbers of things, my favourite number is 25, if it makes any sense, I only like 5 for counting, or for actions, but not for actual numbers of things.

Bugs :D

I havent ever counted - i just repeat an action until i feel satisfied.

Sometimes i make a point of not following a compulsion - this is part of a recovery program.

I remember there was this elevator in my dorm that sometimes got stuck. So every time I went in it, I would slap the inside edge of the sliding door 3 times before it shut. But then one day, I got my hand caught! Luckily I managed to pull it out, but that was the end of that!
