I feel like generations of loggers got away without any consequences, meanwhile most of the people who are impacted by climate change aren't loggers.

But I think you're being more metaphorical and I'm being more literal.

Sometimes I feel like my whole life is one big metaphor.

Campus for my last day of this week.

There was a moment where the wind hit my skin, the bird chirps echoed off the outsides of the ticky tacky houses, and the man with a lawnmower helped to fill the air with the scent of freshly chopped grass. In that moment the dog's nails pattered on the sidewalk as another dog ran to the edge of its yard, whimpering behind a fence to the playmate it could only smell. In that moment I was a part of that weird neighborhood cut out still shot in time. In that moment I was not an outsider, but a part of it all. It was pretty cool.
