To all brittish female HP fans; I always though Luna seemed aspieish and I bet someone from this site could play her role beatifully (and it would be really cool if someone did.)

PS hopefully that link will work tomarrow if not go to IGN and find it again.

At the very least, whoever they cast, if they cast well, will be featured pretty much instantaneously in a new thread in "Television and entertainment" as "She's Aspie, don't you think?" :P

Does she have to be British? What if we submitted an application for Bec? Would that be close enough? :D

Sorry, Sean. Though it would be extremely cool to be in a Harry Potter movie, I would have to decline. I'm not British and I don't look anything like the character. :(

How old is the character? If a WP member happened to make it into the movie, I'd at least be sure to see the video.

Luna Lovegood does seem aspieish in the book. It would be extremely cool if they could choose a person from this site to play a role in the movie. Maybe someone could put this on the news page so that everyone could see it and maybe someone could try out. They'd have to be a British, 14-15 year old girl though.

Yeah, if anyone from here made it into the movie, I'd have to be sure to see at least part of it. *shudders* ;)

She is a little bit of a social outcast (except with Harry's group). She also loves to read her father's newspaper "The Quibbler" (that's one of her obsessions), she also believes in fantasy from her dad's newspaper. I know there's more, but it's been awhile since I've read the last book; she has quite a few aspie traits.

Luna doesn't strike me as Aspie-ish, but that's just me. Of course, I'm generally of the belief that characters aren't Aspies unless they were specifically written to be Aspies, but even so, I don't see anything in Luna that makes her stick out specifically as an Aspie rather than just a social outcast.

What's wrong with Harry Potter? Don't knock it till you've tried it!

Finally, another person who doesn't think Luna has AS! I think she's weird, but that she doesn't seem to have AS.

Obsessive, never uses eye contact, poor social skills, what else can a book display to describe asperger's in a non critical character.
