Kids with Asperger's take up journalism

I'm willing to bet they will do an extraordinary job, on par with or better than any professional news organisation.

Quote:
"We have seen kids in the last 24 to 48 hours go from being shy and timid to laughing, smiling, having fun," said Connie Coulter, the camp's founder and director of Community of Autism Resources and Education and Autism Outreach. "Just like any other camper would."

I worked at my college radio station (mostly reporting local news), back in the 60's and 70's. And, it was a great confidence booster for me. I made friends there which was a pretty unique experience, and I got to communicate with "listeners" who I couldn't see.

I think that radio and college theater were a big help to me.

If these kids get real journalism jobs, they'll do a better job in journalism than the one's we have now running American newspapers.

Guess?

I've been a published journalist since I was a child. Still do it, still love it. Would recommend it to anybody!!

I was actually on the staff of my high school's newspaper. I mostly did movie reviews and those silly "local humor" bulleted lists that every newspaper in the history of ever has (and are usually the best part of the newspaper).
