An archipelago - stretching from the tropics to the sub-arctic. that should have something to suit everyone.

A country. Failing that, an ASD organization that holds a convention with something for everyone.

a planet

I voted for a festival, I think an aspie festival would be so cool :D I've been to a couple of as-conferences, they were ok... and an autistic retreat, that was fantastic :D not too sure about an aspie organisation, it's a bit of an oxymoron, i think it would be more like an aspie disorganisation

A camp would be great too. You would have to decide on a summer or winer camp, or hold two a year. You could have things like equestrian, trap/black powder/hunting rifle/hunting pistol shooting (after clearance by a shrink), navigation, astronomy, motorcycles, boating, scuba diving (depending on time of year and camp location), swimming (depending on time of year unless indoors), cooking outdoors (I've done this in a snow storm with great results 8) ), white water rafting (depending on location and if air temperature remain above above 60F while rafting). First Aid and when help is delayed training, hiking, knife and tomahawk throwing (anfter clearance by shrink), fishing, knot tying, wilderness survival, water skiing, snow skiing (can be year round depending on location), snowmobiles (can be year round depending on location). All can be done year round unless otherwise noted.

There would need to be some sort of policy on personal knives (possibly shrink approval) :?

Oh, and for the ladies, a quick orientation speech to help get over the fear of taking a piss/crap behind a bush.

wow, a camp is a great idea... like a REAL camp

I recently joined a mental health organisation for youth. it seemed like the only place where i could possibly fit in and make a difference, but it is not ideal, i dont think ASppl are meant to be in it, but then again, almost everyone in the MH-org have been hospitalized etc..
and yeah, i just joined, i havent met anyone else in the org, and i dont think there are any members in my area, which sucks,
so what they did was they started an org within a "mother"org. Cause the youth mental health-org started out of a regular one, run by adults.
i guess the right thing to do would be to join the autism society and get the money and org-stuff from/through them. no ASDs are members, it consists of strictly parents and "specialists". i really am not sure how to go about trying to change things. im trying to get to know more norwegian ASpies online, but im not doing very well..

so my point is kind of that if someone who have mental disorders can have their own huge organisation, why cant we? now im gonna read that sweedish link, i was actually meant to go to one of their seminars, but i didnt have the guts at the time...

There's a consortium in Saudi Arabia that actually engineer islands into various shapes. Their most famous work is in Dubai. At the moment they're planning a series of about 80 islands that will replicate the nations of the world in shape.

But then the question remains, what shape truly emulates asperger's?

Think of the monumental waste of effort put into all of the above when everybody stays inside playing the latest version of DOOM on the LAN than this camp would most assuredly have to have.
