Hi everyone, I am a mother of a child with ASD ( as well as a number of other issues ) I am married to a man with Aspergers syndrome and I am a Speech Language Therapist/Pathologist working in a child development centre. I have a special interest in and a large caseload of children with ASD.

I'm looking forward to meeting those of you that post regularly, and no doubt having some interesting discussions :)

Hi Saffy, welcome. It's great to have a Speech Pathologist on board here. You will be a wealth of information.

I have a four year old daughter with AS, who just happens to be going through a language assessment at the moment!

Hi Saffy, welcome from a fellow Kiwi :wink:
There is a huge demand for speech language Therapist in NZ, pm me your details sometime so I can add to my NZ site, thats if your not already booked up for the next year like many.

My whole family, extended family seem to be somewhere on the autism spectrum.... :wink:

Hi Saffy,

I'm father of a 5 yo HFA and a 7 yo Aspie. I'm aspie myself. My wife is the Neruotypical of the family. She's also a Kiwi (the rest of the family are all Aussies).

Welcome to WP.

I'm also quite interested in Aspergers - I've only been aware of it for a few years but I'm using my blog to explore it as best I can.

I Look forward to seeing your posts in the parents forum.

asplanet - There are so few of us ! I know at the moment where I work we are 6 Therapists short !
