These ads are driving me crazy. Sure enough, I am beginning to read the stupider statements aloud so I'm venting them here.

If people told me exactly what ads were causing problems, I could block those ads....... but do people really care that much?

I don't think they are bothering people - I am bothered by blinking things and just venting with an element of fun.

I mean, who wouldn't want tips for a more productive life?

The bubble phone is pretty annoying. If I were to complain, that probably would be the only one I would complain about.

I disabled the bubble ads.

Sorry about the parroting. It really is just venting. Otherwise I would do it at work and that would be bad with all these psychiatric crisis evaluators around me....

Unsure which ads these were-perhaps that's for the best, dislike motion on my screen. Nauseates me, flashing/blinking/zooming bright things.
Venting in this way reminds me of what I do-recontextualizing the soundbite. Some phrase/pattern of words I hear or read come to mind. Then I turn it around in my head and tweak it until I get a chance to express/bounce it off someone else. Things that irk me, only way I can bear them is to be mad then sad then hopefully I accidentally find some humor in it all. Repeat thing until it becomes unrecognizable, loses it's power to provoke. Like, if these commercial messages are to become ubiquitous, how each individual is going to "get used to" dealing with the invasion of mental space that happens as a result.
Pardon my lack of a point...

I thought the text ads were just fine. These new ads are driving me crazy as well.

That isn't really helping me. As I said, I'd like names of ads...

That's easy...anything that has some sort of movement or change in it.

alex needs the name of the ads so he can disable the advertisers - i don't think he can find the ads under "flashing" or "moving" - you'll have to give him a specific ad.

8O Awesome :!: Not really.. I think my antivirus blocks all popups and then firefox does as well, and it seems that most adds don't show up even if they aren't popups. I can't even see adds on hotmail because of it.

I scroll down almost instantly if the ad is in motion. I had to look at the duck shooter thing for a while while I was composing a post. Made it difficult to get my thoughts together.
I'll post back here with specific advertisers as I see them.
Thanks, Alex, for being willing to keep the sight Aspie friendly.
