I woke up the other day and this image was on the TV (preview for a recorded show) and for the longest time I could not see the actual dog. I could only see the "other" creature. Can you see it?

I can't see another creature. I only see a dog. Is there suppose to be something else? Normally I can't see optical illusions. This things tend to drive me crazy.

Maybe this will help some? It looks like a polar bear or another dog facing the opposite direction. You have to ignore the black of the real dog's nose (maybe cover it with your finger?).

Hmm. OK, I covered the dog's nose with my finger and squinted - then I could make out the profile of a bear or dog. But as soon as I took my finger away and unsquinted my eyes I couldn't see anymore, even though I remembered the shape. I can seriously frustrate myself silly with these kinds of things.

I've noticed that sometimes I can see optical illusions by closing my right eye and looking at with just my left eye. But when I look at it with both, I don't see the illusion at all. Weird huh?

Heh, I probably wouldn't even have seen it without being in the weird state I was when I woke up. Now that's all I see and I have to refocus to see the actual dog.
