I love Daniel's straightforward one worded answer. I hate the term 'aspie'. I prefer saying autistic or Asperger's Syndrome to those that actually know what it is.
I couldn't agree more. I have seriously disliked the term Aspie since I first came across it.
Why? firstly it seemed far to cutesy for a syndrome that for so long had had such a negative effect upon my life, secondly I started to notice 'aspie' was commonly used on in opposition or to denote superiority to 'NT' and this use of aspie I REALLY dislike. So for me it is AS, ASD (or the full term) and Aspergers
@ blindspot I am a person who happens to be on the autism spectrum, I am not an Aspie. The same goes for someone who once tested turns out to have a typical neurology, this does not make them an NT
