Different theories.

1) They will get scared of the human race and our ability to destroy each other that they will run away.
2) If they came, we will be an inferior race and they will destroy us.
3) They will understand the human race as primates compared to them and will share their technology with us.
4) Humans are evil and we will destroy them
5) A war breaks out and planet earth will need to fight back and defend itself, what would be a good thing, because it will allow us all to unite, to put all our differences, hates and quarrels aside, and unite has one.
6) If Aliens came, everything we know about what I consider BS, like religion, God and all the holly books (that I consider only good for lightning a barbecue) will cease to make any sense, and that is the best that can happen, because religion has killed more people than any war or genocide in history.

That's right, Ana, you are going to let our secret society out of the box, if you keep investigating these issues. Next thing you know they will REALLY KNOW who we are. :P

They can take me to their spaceship so long as they are nice aliens. :)

Yup, I've just about got this Human being thing figured out. I think I'm ready for the next challenge too. I have a feeling they will be nicer, too. There is no way a civilization can survive in the long run without empathy. It will not work. :)

I saw a doco on this about a year ago. They reckon aliens wouldn't send their people, because it would be too costly a payload, especially catering to fragile bodies in space. If aliens came, they would send drones to recover resources, water being the most useful of all. Drones wouldn't need habitable space, waste recycling, sustainable food supply, medical, cryonics etc. The payload would be much lower mass, maybe almost skeletal.

So do you think if some alien species had been in space for thousands, maybe millions of years, existing like we do here on earth only in space, their bodies would resemble skeletons?

What I'd like to hear or see are all their stories from across the galaxy. Who knows, there might be so many it would take more than my life span to see or hear about them all.

Since space has so much distance, it's doubtful they would have seen much of it, even in over a million years of travel. They still would have plenty to tell. I would think they would be pretty advanced. They might even be so advanced to go undetected by us since their first priority would be their own survival.

That's what's so awesome about the universe. There's so much to speculate on and think about. Who knows what's out there?

Yes, truly if they did really come, they could probably easily avoid detection from human beings, through some advanced technology i'm sure, whether skilled or instinctual.

^^An intelligent species of space fareing dust mites might be invading us with tiny saucers as we speak. They could have whole cities (not to mention space ports) in your carpet right now!

And you wouldn't even have a clue!

It wouldn't surprise me if their little recognizance droids were the size of a dust mite.

They may have legions of live soldiers, droids, and drones, encircling you at this moment with their commander shouting at you through a megaphone to "SURRENDER HUMAN! You are surrounded, and outnumbered, and your position is hopeless!" Ajnd you don't even know they're there! :)

I don't particularly care what humans would do.

Though I'd be interested in what the aliens were here for. Just showing up means they're here due to colossal planning and material expenditure. So, we come in exploration and all that, or give us your clay. We'd generally be ants to them.

I doubt they'd be leaving anytime soon no matter the reason.

OMG! they might be in my DNA too.

I'll check and get back to you on that One, too. ;)
