The latest episode of The Price Is Right.

Mad Men Season 7 Part 1 episodes 3 and 4.

Those last two episodes were intense, huh?

^ Yeah, I was worried that it would have an underwhelming finale since Season 6 just sort of stopped, almost like the writers didn't care anymore, but they certainly pulled it together at the end of 7. It makes me wonder what happened to Kurt Sutter, why nothing in Sons of Anarchy has been remotely this good.

I'm sad to see it end, though I've still got a lot of extras to sift through on the discs, and I've got a movie called Rampart sitting on my shelf, which was based on the same events as The Shield and is supposed to be terrific, so I still have stuff to look forward to.

Yeah, I agree, the season 6 finale was an odd place to end a season, and as someone watching the series when it aired, it was no fun waiting a year or so for the story to resume.

In any case, if you have't seen it yet for sure I would recommend The Wire - sort of in the same vein as The Shield though different in some ways and better in others. And if you like The Wire, HBO's miniseries The Corner is also a worthy view.

^ I've got Season 1 of The Wire sitting around; a friend of my sister's left it here and never came back for it. I'll probably get around to checking it out eventually, but right now I'm eager to delve into Dracula, Penny Dreadful, and The Following. There's always something else around to distract.
