Does anyone else feel like this? My entire life feels so boring and repetitive. Everything feels the same, I do the same things every day, and nothing ever changes. I try different foods just to bring a tiny smidgeon of originality to my life. I rarely seem to see anything completely new and exciting to me. Yes, I know this sounds like depression, and I'm already on tablets for that.

Any hints on changing it up a wee bit? :)

Hi Tequila - I changed things by moving 1000 miles from where I used to live. However, I'm not sure I'd recommend this as it was terrifically expensive and stressful. The research part which took 4&1/2 years was really fun though. Maybe start walking or some other activity you like?

I have a walking group every week, and I go the gym regularly.

You could put on a sombrero, and go sit in a grocery store parking lot with a bottle of Corona and lime, and just greet random people as they walk by!
Heh
;-)

Research someplace you'd like to visit, and start saving money towards a trip. Just making the plans can be quite cheering.

You could be exposed to a new environment by volunteering.

Agreed. In fact, if even that sounds to boring and/or you can't make up your mind where to go, try choosing your destination by some random means! If that's too expensive, try choosing a new hobby the same way, or keep your destination closer to home. Learn about something completely different at a local museum--you may be surprised by what surprises you.

Some people really get into simple stuff like redecorating or rearranging the furniture, but maybe a new job or career is more like what you need. justkillingtime's idea about volunteering is a great way to learn something new and shake things up. If you're single, the choices are likely wide open--take a chance on something, and if that doesn't do it, try something else! Treat yourself to something new--anything.
