What is your first name?

Rajih

Age:

39

Location:

Anchorage, Alaska

Hobbies and Interests:

Writing, Drumming, Reading, Music, Poetry, Henry Rollins, Autism, Body Modification, Suspension (With Hooks), Needle Crafts, Bead Crafts, Collecting Yaoi Manga, Pen & Ink Art (Specifically Stipling), Socialism, Anarchism, Language, Human Behavior, Singing, Spirituality, Noam Chomsky, Freedom, Plants & Trees, Mushrooms, Photography, Feminism, Legend Of Zelda: this is the beginning of a list much too long to put here.

Why are you here?

Why are any of us here?

When were you diagnosed?:

In 2006, when I was 30. My second neuro-psych exam was last year, 2014, and it just re-confirmed.

Favorite subjects:

Deep Space Astronomy, Biology, Mycology, Poetry, Music, Language (Anything Dealing With Any Language, Though I Prefer English & Japanese & Anglo-Saxon), Chess, Shamanism, (Starting To Really Love) Anthropology, Chen-Style Taijiquan, Soto Zen Buddhism

Year/Grade:

In my Senior year of college, which means nothing LoL; I've got eight years under my belt for a four year degree.

Favorite music:

Twenty-One Pilots (Obssessing VERY Hard On Them Right Now), Corvus Corax, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Black Flag, Flipper, Bring Me The Horizon, Korn, Skrillex, Deadmau5, 2DL, Deep Forest... so many others, I can't begin to name them all.

Books:

I will read anything in print. (And anything out-of-print too, heh). This is an extremely small sample of what I've read, and I'm sure I haven't touched on nearly 1/4 of the genres I've read in my years in this lifetime. I highly recommend anything from the list below:

Tailchaser's Song (Williams), Middle Earth Series (Tolkien), Sacred Kink: The Eightfold Paths Of B.D.S.M. & Beyond (Harrington), The King James Christian Bible (Printed By Robert Barker), Valdemar Series (Lackey), Pern Series (McCaffrey), Circle Of The Cosmic Muse (Simms),The Boreal Herbal (Gray), The Spirit Catches You And You Fall Down (Fadiman), The Dark Series (Feehan), Stone Butch Blues (Feinberg), You're My Loveprize In Viewfinder (Yamane), Dark Moon Rising: Pagan B.D.S.M. & The Ordeal Path (Kaldera), etc.

TV shows/Movies:

Shows: Supernatural, Face Off, Red Dwarf, Sherlock (B.B.C.), Ink Master, Black Adder, anything with Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson (I don't, generally, watch TV).

Movies: Hackers, Dogma, What The Bleep Do We Know?, Zeitgeist, Taken, The Truman Show, The Sea Prince & The Firechild, 28 Days Later, The Dark Crystal, Brotherhood Of The Wolf, Labyrinth, Star Trek Into Darkness (all of the "new" Star Trek movies with Chris Pine), Monty Python's Search For The Holy Grail, Watchmen, Donnie Darko, A Clockwork Orange, Seven, The Usual Suspects, Blade Runner, almost any documentary about Nature, Space, Animals, Quantum Mechanics, Etc.

Instrument:

Drums, Rattles, Tamborine, Etc.--I am, primarily, a percussive/rhythm instrumentalist, and a singer. Though I can play the clarinet, saxophone (any instrument with similar fingering), pick at a keyboard and guitar, AND on my "Life's To-Do" list is to learn to play the mandolin at some point during the remainder of my life.

Do you like sports? Yes. Watch & Play. However, I do not go out of my way to watch it.

Watch: Figure Skating, Gymnastics, Sumo Wrestling, American Wrestling (WWE, WWF, etc.), Cage Fighting, Roller Derby (I was invited to join the local Roller Derby team several years ago, but couldn't, due to my broken neck & back, sadly--someday, maybe, if it ever heals), Hockey (Well, I am in Alaska LoL), Baseball & Softball, anything Martial Arts, Ballet (LOVE watching Ballet!! !), Middle Eastern Dance (A.K.A. "Belly Dancing"), Alaskan Indigenous Dance

Play/Do: Broomball (Hockey-Like), Middle Eastern Dance, Chen-Style Taijiquan (been doing this for years now through college), Baseball & Softball, Alaskan Indigenous Dance (I'm Sugpiaq, and we have awesome dance, song, and traditional costume!), Bicycle Touring, Hiking, Berry Picking (believe it or not, with how much competition there is for good berry spots, I'm sure this could be considered "full contact" LoL), Fishing, Cage Fighting (okay, I don't cage fight... but I would LOVE to, if it weren't for my spine).

Family:

Yes. I have one. With many members.

Like... two I live with (my spouse/partner), and our kid, Four Of Five.

My ex-husband lives down the street from us and has kids Three Of Five (diagnosed as on the spectrum) and Five Of Five.

My parents, who live 20 miles from us, have Two Of Five (also diagnosed as on the spectrum).

One Of Five is an adult and married. She and her husband will be moving back to AK in August. One Of Five's other mother lives literally two and a half minutes from us.

And I have many Aunts and Uncles. And through them, many Cousins.

Clothing:

Yes. I wear clothing. Mostly. I tend to go nude in my house. And sometimes not in my house.

I identify (sometimes) as a punk/hippie hybrid, and I wear clothes apropos to that identity.

How did you find this website?

Through intention.

Job:

I am a student, at the moment, and that is my only "job", so to speak.

I do have a vocation: I am a Shamanic Priest, ordained for going on two years now and was (still am, really) in training before that for decades.

Plans for the future?

Get my rough draft completed by the end of August 2015, or December 2015 at the absolute latest (only if I need the extra time).

Get the book turned in to the publisher I've been in communication with.

Any comments?

Nothing is impossible. Maybe highly improbably--but never impossible!

What are you studying, if I may ask?

I don't study anything yet, but I already independently covered the most important parts of the material I am interested in.
I might go for neuroscience, but I am not sure since there are so many things that need to be studied.

If there are any more questions regarding this, you can send me a pm :)

Thank you for welcoming me!

Your welcome!
sounds like your future will be exciting 8)

We will see
What saddens me, though, is the fact that i needed almost 10 years of hard work till i could finally go for what i always wanted to do.

If it is your passion...it will go quickly and you'll enjoy it...though it is STILL work...no way around that
besides the research will start after 4 years

What is your first name? I don't do names on the internet. I barely do them irl. You can call me Steely.

Age: 50 going on my second childhood.

Location: wherever the internet takes me.

Hobbies and Interests: politics, philosophy, psychology, reading, writing, poetry, sci-fy and horror movies and lots of other genres, playing with my dog, and well that's about it for now. Oh online games.

Why are you here? I don't get along with NT people as a rule and I want to figure out why. Now I think it's their problem.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): When I was a kid they would say that girl ain't right. Or words to that effect. I have been in and out of counseling since I was 17. Not one said that I didn't have a problem or problems, but they sure can't figure out what it is or they are. At work 3 people called me an Aspie, a couple of them teased me for it daily. I never took any of that serious til I took a couple online tests and scored 178 out of 200 and I got a 38 on one but forget which test it was, 30 is high on their scale.

Favorite subjects: I like a lot of subjects, but I am only pursuing my hobbies at the moment that I have already listed

Year/Grade: I have a degree.

Favorite music: A few select songs from nearly all genres. Most genres have a lot of bad songs. But, none of them have all bad songs.

Books: Sci-fy mostly, action, adventure, non fiction in my areas of interest.

TV shows/Movies: meh on TV. I haven't been to a movie for a while, I am going through a withdrawn phase.

Instrument: nope

Do you like sports? nope

Family: they are on my naughty list because they blame me for my personality.

Clothing: it's optional right? Mostly t-shirts and knit slacks anything comfortable.

How did you find this website? I was searching out some of my symptoms some specific query led me here.

Job: no, I tried for many years to fit in and now it's just too much. I got harassed at one job that was long term. The last job I had literally drove me insane and caused me to get high blood pressure among other things. It caused my long term insomnia to come raging back and I was afraid daily that I was going to scream at someone for all the NT things they do.

Plans for the future? I am writing a story. I don't know if I will send it to a publisher or not. I just like writing. I wouldn't ever want to become famous though.

Any comments? I am going to go play a game now.

>I've been debating on whether to seek a diagnosis or not. The VA already has me on full disability for something else more sinister. I think all I might get is legal protection that would end up jacking me up in the long run. According to the DSM 5, I meet way more than enough criteria for a diagnosis. Year/Grade:
>Anytime from 1980-1997. The 80's was AWESOME for music, and the 90's was bitchin' for TV, Movies, and video games. Sonic & Knuckles came out in 1994. :3

Do you like sports?
>No. I don't believe in the need for all this competition. If you want to compete with one-another, see who can cook the better food for the less fortunate. Sports leads to men fighting and bad behaviour.

Family:
>Don't have any. I was disowned by 4 (four) families. My biological father left me and my two eldest half-siblings to the wind, my current legal father is in prison for murder, the one who was my legal guardian is a California prison for drug and homicide charges (and he was a 22 year veteran of the nevada highway patrol, a sergeant investigating fatal accidents), and my biological mother finally had the nerve to tell me that I was a total disappointment to her, that I would never amount to anything, that she hates me, that I was a mistake and the biggest waste of her life, and that she would use her criminal husband's cop ties to royally jack me over. Yep, folks: I lived the all-american horror story. =/

Clothing:
>An amalgamation of stuff that can only be described as true punk. I have my own look that actually passes for cosplay, but was pulled from my latest Cyberpunk story. I call it "Tech Punk". It's the punked-out look of fleet technicians and city maintenance personnel in space; the kind of people with issues with authority and bad attitudes; the kind of people who live double lives.I'm also thinking of trying to integrate some dark western fashion into it.

s**t. Does finding a point to life count? How about finding the all-elusive happiness bug? Hey! I know! How about some damn resolution and closure to that jacked up 25 year section of my life. =/

>Anytime from 1980-1997. The 80's was AWESOME for music, and the 90's was bitchin' for TV, Movies, and video games. Sonic & Knuckles came out in 1994. :3

Favorite music:
I'm eclectic. My all-time favorite bands are Urban Dance Squad, Apollo 440, Rednex, and Stereo MC's. My favorite musician is Nobuo Uematsu.

Books:
>I don't have the attention span for a book.

TV shows/Movies:
>Hackers, Chobits, Armitage III, Tank Girl, The Fifth Element, Lost in Space, Galaxy Quest, Trackdown, Avatar, Penn & Teller's BS!, Street Fighter, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Jurassic Park, Last Action Hero, Office Space, The Addams Family (I & II), Rocky Horror Picture Show, Private Parts (Howard Stern Documentary), Poltergeist (1980's version), Caddyshack, Coraline, Airheads

Instrument:
>Synthesizer

How did you find this website?
>The site decently advertised, Google did the rest.

Job:
>I think I'm on retirement. I just consider myself a Hacker these days.

Plans for the future?
s**t. Does finding a point to life count? How about finding the all-elusive happiness bug? Hey! I know! How about some damn resolution and closure to that jacked up 25 year section of my life. =/

Any comments?
>Thanks for the template. Yes, all of this actually is true. You read it right.

Other comments? Sure. The nighttime is the only time!, god (lowercase G) did not bless america (lowercase (A), Anarchist Communism NOW!, and Hail Satan! :D

I think you and I will like each other, except I am a non-theist rather than a satanist and I don't watch as much TV.

Cyberpunks were privacy and anonymity revolutionaries. They were a team of hackers, cryptographers and mathematicians that discussed internet privacy and anonymity and basically started this whole anonymity thing even before the NSA was spying on us.

Unfortunately the Cyberpunks' ideas lead to the manifestation of the Tor network. The Tor network was originally a place for journalists and activists to remain anonymous online but then it became a place for people who believe drugs should be legalized as well as the fraud and hacking community and even more sinister, the child pornography community.

I believe there is something similar to the Cyperpunks today it is a group of hackers, programmers and cryptographers that meet together and build programs for cryptography.

I plan on studying mathematics and one of my career options is cryptography.

It's quite sad how the term, "Hacker", was hijacked to be almost exclusively COMPUSEC. I remember back when It denoted a builder, modder, or creater. Depending in what aspect you come from will depend on what image you get from a Hacker. If you want to talk Cracking, though... Did it, back in the day. Was quite fun, so was Social Engineering. I'm thinking about revisiting those old days on my home systems. After reading how the NSAcracks systems, I want to try much of it myself. I want to see how like Kevin Mitnick I can be, or how cunning I can be, like Tsutomu Shimomura. I think of Hacking as the ultimate civil service, whether you're a builder/modder, or you're in sys sec. It's all good. I've worked Crypto, Telephony, Telemetry Systems, Net Admin, Sys Admin... I've worked some hardcore f****n' s**t. Just won't say for who. :P

And, with that said... Computational Physics is a field I'm interested to break into.
