Yes, evolution is unlikely on a universal scale. * It is like a smaller version of the parallel universes hypothesis .In other words, the conditions for life to evolve on earth were there, not because of design, but because in such a huge universe it is highly probable that at least one planet would have the conditions necessary for life.
Similarly, the fact that our universe's constants are perfect for life is not a miracle.
* It is illogical to think evolution occurs on every planet.

Evolution is a universal - everything is constantly changing in adaptation to it's environment.

I am talking about biological evolution. Or are you saying that life evolved on Saturn?
PS: My dads side is from Canada. He loved this joke,
Do you know how Canada got its name? They put all the letters in a hat. The first letter drawn was a "C". Everyone said,"EH". Then an "N" was drawn. Everyone said,"EH". Then a "D" was drawn. Everyone said,"EH". :D
When I took my new wife to Selkirk (Ontario) for the family reunion I told her that we from the states are just like Canadians. We were all sitting around the dinner table. You guessed it! All my relatives talked about hockey! I stood up and said," what next a conversation about mounties and beavers"? :D

I am talking about evolution in general.

Budweiser? YUCK! I have never been a pilsner man. I like my beer like my women. Dark and nutty! :D
When at a classy bar (with firns and a classical guitarist ) I always order,"make my beer extra stout and my meat extra snout"! Then when they ask for requests I always say," inagoda veda"!
Ina classical guitar? :D
My wife hates my behaviour and yet still loves me! :D

No idea if they do exist, or not, but if the concept interests you, you might enjoy reading the science fiction novel "Anathem" by Neal Stephenson, which eventually deals with this subject as part of its story.

I think part of the problem here is the language used and the wilful omission of critical words by some people. FIne Tuning is a very unfortunate phrase, its a bit like the old term Global Warming, neither are accurate and and fine tuning has the unfortunate ability to suggest a designer. This is also where the willful omission of words comes in. The physicists I have read always precede "fine tuning"with something like seeming, or apparent. The religious almost always decide to omit these words.

As to parallel universes, that there are likely more than one universe, or one that constantly expands and contracts is not something physicists have dreamt up to avoid the need of an external creator. The hypothesis fits much of what we understand of our universe. Physics does not work by postulating stuff that has no relevance to the known science, shoehorning might occur but since the advent of the Scientific method it is not allowed to continue indefinitely, only religion does this.

If you think the universe exists in isolation my suggestion would be to ask yourself WHY? There is no logical basis for this assumption, rather it seems to be in the same camp as so many previous assumptions about our place in the universe ie The earth is at the centre, this is the only solar system, this is the only galaxy, there are no extra solar planets etc.

Essentially multiple universes fit our understanding of this universe, they explain gravity and many other laws of our universe, there is no rational reason to discount them and therefore the multiverse concept is NOT in the same category as God of the gaps.

Our perceptions say there must be more than we are seeing.

The other choice is bad math.

Listing what we do not understand makes more sense than trying to make up a story that fits.

Dark mater is a filler to cover a missing 90% of the universe. Or we do not understand gravity.

The Higgs Boson is supposed to provide missing mass. Perhaps we expect too much?

The Red Shift is taken as proof that everything is flying apart at near the speed of light, but gravity is a constant. Everything we can see is joined by gravity. If it was expanding gravity would be getting weaker.

The Red Shift was what needed Dark Mater to support the math, and the missing mass.

That light slows over distance would make both useless.

We do not have to compensate for missing mass to send a rocket to Mars.

We combine what is testable here on earth, and some of the thinking of Newton, and it works.

We have proven that we are the only life as we know it anywhere around, and we are looking out light years.

On the other end all life comes from pond scum that happened once, and could not self create DNA, which has created us all.

Everything denser than Hydrogen was formed in a star that blew up and splattered it out into a cold dark space. That then formed around gravitational centers, formed new stars, and planets.

If the age of the universe is correct, we are the third wave of stars, and pond scum DNA came from the second. The potential for life is everywhere. Conditions for life are rare.

Evolution does seem to explain some things. Others, ants appear 350 million years ago, in their current hive form, and have never changed. They vastly outnumber us, weigh more, and have a very complex hive order, some group mind. Leaf cutter ants farm, and grow mushrooms. Others herd Aphids. They have wars, form battle groups, and kill things many times their size. By weight, they are the strongest thing on earth.

They could be an alien colony, from a hive mind with a chemical language.

We should look to what we do not know, but can percieve, and quit making up stories about traveling at the speed of light, and shining a flashlight forward.

But do they have beer in parallel universes?

We know that ninety percent of this Universe is dark beer!

Maybe there are since there things we cannot begin to comprehend about the universe and outer space, etc.

Maybe there is a parallel universe and it is no big deal and not very cool. The parallel universe portrayed in shows such as Dr. Who make it seem very cool to be in a parallel universe.

From a scientific standpoint what is required for a parallel universe to exist? Would it be something feasible such as hey there are living beings on planet such and such similar to humans, but living in a different solar system. Or would it require something to exist that is not so feasible such as going back in time.

If someone figures out the mystery of quantum physics maybe the world will be a step closer to realizing the possibility of a parallel universe.
