I've been wondering if convulsions can occur in aspies/auties due to sexual and/or other physical contact? Anyone ever hear of this before?

To my knowledge it doesn't occur because a person is an Aspie. But it certainly is a condition that exists, although I'm referring to the unpleasurable kind of convulsions, the pleasurable ones exist for a reason. Intense physical contact, particularly sexual, is quite the assault on the nervous system. So if there is a nervous system problem whether it is as small as hypersensitivity or as large as epilepsy, sexual practice can possibly cause a convulsion. If it happens to you, your best bet is to consult a professional medical doctor. There are medications to control an overactive nervous system. At least they can hopefully determine whether it is a physical reaction or a mental.

I once dated a fellow aspie for three years. Absolutely every orgasm she had would cause her to fall unconscious. She was easily awakened afterward and rarely seemed drained or disoriented, so I assumed no seizure activity. I am in no way bragging or attempting to be lewd, but she was rather sensitive and uncomplicated to satisfy sexually. Sex was frequently interrupted by her need to be awakened. It seemed to do her no harm, but always made me self conscious about being too energetic despite demands to the contrary. As though I were "knocking her out" or something; it's silly, I know. We parted ways before I learned of anything official in terms of a potential cause, but she's not the only female aspie who has articulated to me feelings of intense over stimulation of some kind during sex.

My ASish friend sneezes uncontrollably when aroused....if sneezes could count as a form of convulsion...

Yeah, I'm not sure I buy the line that persons with Aspergers are less likely to have comorbid neurological disorders. My dad's a Tour-aspie (TS/AS) as am I. My oldest, undeniably AS uncle on my father's side has epilepsy+. Perhaps our mothers need to remove the magnetic stirring rods from their womb before conception, I don't know. :)

Never has happened to me, and never have heard of it either.

I'm an Aspie who used to become nauseated (read: bolt to the bathroom and puke for an hour)
every time I had sex.

I've since come to realize that I'm asexual, so that might have something to do with the revulsion.

I think I'd be asexual if I threw up every time I had sex.

Yup.
I have AS temporal lobe epilepsy and sjstaad syndrome.
I have had seizures in the past during, sex, usually err....lets just say its possible to have seizures during sex, and extreme migraines due to the vasoconstriction and changes in blood pressure. I'm not the only one, I've done a little bit of reseach into this. Not a comfortabl subject to discuss. but if you dont have epilepsy or severe migraine I wouldnt worry, your AS wont give you a convulsion.
Pseudoseizures are possible i expect, where your subconscious makes you seize because you are so nervous of something. In someone who has AS who has a fear of physical contact and sex, if they were suddenyl innvolved in something so close, so emotional, then that could be a possibility. But this is not the norm. :)

LOL The sex always preceded it.

I don't have any evidence other than personal experience, but I find that certain generic brands of Prozac in low doses, causes some anomalies for me which I never had before.... Including seizure or convulsions ("good ones"), albeit uncontrollable just before, and during "that certain time" . Basically it's a loss of muscle control, and violent shaking of arms & legs.

With that said, I guess you could associate Asperger's or HFA with this condition, since low doses of Prozac (5mg-10mg/day), seem to be a common prescription for us with AS/HFA.

I find sexual contact uncomfortable. When I'm done having sex with a girl, I feel violated and uncomfortable. So I tend to keep sex to a minimum.
