Does anyone else get this?

I first started it when I would listen to my favourite song at the time frequently pretty much every day. When I had my full attention on the music, I would feel the music filling me up and I would go mad. Since I found my love for house music and found lots of songs I really like, I'm doing it all the time. One song in particular, if I'm listening to it properly, I'll throw my head around and flap my hands like crazy and jump around. The ONE time I went out "clubbing", I did not mind being in a crowded place with such noise because I was away in myself with this crazy dancing. I thought this was just what you did but I realised everyone else was just mildly dancing compared to me going totally mental to everything. I just can't control myself and I like fall over.

I always play my favorite songs loud in my truck. The quality of the song plus the high volume produces a really nice stim. I don't do any hand flapping though.

Oh man, I want to try clubbing. I was going to go last year, but my friend cancelled. I hope I do get the chance to go this summer. I'll probably go nuts, but it would be fun. As for music, yes, I go wild sometimes when I turn the music up really loud when I'm at home and start singing and dancing around to it like a madwoman. :)

Yes! I stim a lot while listening to music. I also literally bounce around from one end of my room to the other if I am really into a song.

I do this a ton; it's much more noticeable with two songs in particular (which is probably why I really like these two songs).

I really start in at 0:54; there's something about doing it that's very relaxing even with a non-relaxing song.

I start at 0:07 on this song.

I've noticed that for the Iron Maiden song, I rock back and forth, and for the Crystals song, I rock side-to-side.

Yay! I feared nobody would understand what I was talking about, here but yes, those sound very smililar to what I do. I've noticed in some videos that the guy in my signature reacts a lot to the music he is producing and mixing. Usually, DJs do some sort of dancing while they are DJing, but he looks like he really feels the music. It's like a conductor conducting the music except the other way around. And also, I'm quite a lot more crazy looking than a conductor when doing it. :D

That is really interesting. I wonder why it is? Perhaps just different reactions to the different styles of music.

If you're interested, here's the song that get's me going the most at the moment.

I have this with Suzanne Vega songs at the moment, not the wild stuff but gently rocking back and forth.

When I'm alone, I don't dance to music as such.
I do conductor arms, I go mental.

My particular stim, when I'm not on a computer, is to drum along to rock songs, on my knees.

Clubbing would scare me :( I could never dance in front of other people like that...
I wish I could; it sounds fun. Eh.

I like to turn my favorite music up real loud, especially on headphones. Then while listening I'll usually rock back and forth. If I'm standing up while listening to a CD or MP3 player I'll pace around the room. I don't think I could go out clubbing, though--sensory overload.

i go mental, it is one of the most exhilarating thing to do. i do find it a bit disconcerting that other people even when super drunk or high and clubbing are unable to let themselves go.

i find it really difficult to listen to rocket from the crypt and not tap and jiggle. i love to pretend to play guitar (which i actually can :P) and drums and just generally jump to the beat.

the only time i really let myself go was at an ISIS gig. it was amazing. an absolutely mindblowing experience. i think the people around me were a bit weirded out but they were just uptight gits who wished they could have done the same :D except my buddy

For those referring to clubbing- I was extremely nervous about it. I had no idea what to expect, so the unknown was also really scary. But once I could hear the music, I felt a lot better. Unfortunately, I had to use alcohol to overcome the embarrassment (I don't drink at all anymore) but that's all it did for me. I can honestly say that the music alone was what helped me detach from sensory problems. In another club that night, the music was a bit different so it didn't have such a good effect. I even struggled with the stuffy air. The first club was excellent though. Full of scum, on the other hand. I tried to go somewhere else on another night, but it was way too crowded and the music rubbish and just drilling through my head so I had to leave pretty soon.

I would love to go to a club, more specifically a rave with laser shows and everything.
