How many people got the MMR after they were 2 years old?

I want to see once and for all just how common it is for people on the autism spectrum to have autism and not have the vaccine around the time their symptoms started to show.
For the record you could call me pro-vaccine.
I got the MMR when I was five years old along with my siblings because the school wouldn't allow us in without having them done.
My mother said I started to show signs of autism at around 18 months old. She said I was a normal happy baby before then. Yeah..thanks mum.

I was different at birth, but my mom didn't really realize it because I was her first child. It became obvious around second grade when the social demands started to ratchet up.

Had the MMR at a little over two years old.

Missing option ... I never had the MMR vaccine - I was an adult when it was introduced.

I have had both measles and mumps - the latter before I reached puberty, fortunately.

I have never had either rubella or rubella vaccination, as far as I can remember.

I was born in the 1950s. I suspect one of my siblings is on the spectrum too. Neither of us had MMR vaccine. We just got sick in those days.

In New Zealand, I got it some time in primary school, probably 8-10? I'd already had rubella, and was definitely already set in my aspie ways.

Anyway: My mother said I was an easy baby and never cried. I did the echolalia while learning to speak and read. I am not precisely sure when I was vaccinated, but I was two years old when they were introduced, which is well after it was obvious that I was not typical.

Yep. I have had measles, mumps, chicken pox and whatever else ... but I can still usually hold my head up straight!

I don't recall getting the measles, but definitely the mumps. No MMR for me.

sorry, no MMR when I was a child. We did have diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough), tetanus, and smallpox vaccines, though. I even remember how huge my arm swelled up and how black and blue it got from the cowpox culture. We had mumps and measles parties where all the kids would get exposed to the one kid that had it so we could all get over mumps or measles from school at the same time. Then we would all be sick and some of us pretty bad, but the idea was to 'get it over with.'

Children as well as young adults had polio when I was a kid, the girl next door was in an iron lung in the front room and the bellows (whooshing and pumping) could be heard on a summer's night when all the doors and windows were open. I remember lining up at the junior high gym with hundreds of other families while we either got our Salk polio vaccine shots or tried out Sabin's vaccine on sugar cubes. (I think that is why LSD on sugar cubes was so comforting and safe seeming, to me. Ah well, another story.)

But no MMR. Oh, and I was exhibiting AS from before I could actually communicate in the words I was forever blabbing out loud, so no 'vaccine' boogyman for me.

I got mine before 16 months. I had the measles when I was 10 months old, so I had to get my shot. I was autistic since I was conceived, so it didn't make much of a difference.

I got chickenpox in my 40s - caught it off my daughters who caught it at pre-school. I never had it as a child.

Looks like not many people got autism from the vaccine. Good.

We hear all about children that become autistic around the time of the vaccine but not about those who 1) showed autistic signs before or 2) never got the vaccine.

Tenzin has autism but wasn't vaccinated as a baby. He's only had the DTaP so far. I plan to have the MMR done but wanted
to wait until he was older because he has a lot of immune system issues.

He's allergic to tons of things, chemical sensitivity, can't take a lot of the normal allergy meds without breaking out or getting eye cysts.

Don't know what's up with my boy but have been really cautious with vaccines because they are loaded with things that are difficult for a weak immune system to process.

But he's proof that vaccines do not cause autism.
