Gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered folks get a forum before men get one?

You know how a lot of people don't like homosexuals? This just goes to show how many more people like homosexuals than they do men as a gender.

Yup, just hairless, knuckle-dragging apes. We've become second-class citizens. Everyone knows women are entitled to being thin and being beautiful and strong and be "goddesses". Know what happens when a man calls himself a god? He's labeled narcissistic and chauvinistic.

The forum is owned and operated by a guy, you'd think he'd be more open to having a forum dedicated to men's issues unless he's fallen victim to the feminist agenda.

Bunk

We had a men's forum long ago. I had to remove it because it was abused.

that's what moderators are for.

...and equality in the twenty-first century.

You know, it doesn't need saying that to close and delete a forum because men are acting up...

I trust you know where I'm going with that.

I tend to think that is more a matter of heterosexual men simply no longer having such an overwhelmingly or dominant "say" in all things. I used to attend a lot of A.A. meetings, and I had some gay friends who had one of their own meetings in a smaller room next to where I normally attended the "straight" meeting. However, I walked into "my own" room one evening and was surprised to see it nearly filled by my gay friends and a lot of strangers ... and then someone explained the two rooms had been switched for the evening since the gay group was having some kind of special event needing more space than usual.

Being an Aspie and not liking changes in my routines, I just stayed right there in the room where I usually went to meetings ... and then one of my gay friends ran interference for me when a stranger began hitting on me ... and I have had a better respect for the challengers of others asking for at least a bit of equal treatment or "fairness" ever since.

Well, it's time for you to bring it back into existence. We deserve our own forum, too. 8)

murphycop you're obsessed lol

Anyway, I think it's worth trying out the men's forum again tbh, given the constant talk about it. I was against it before, given that it had been tried already etc, but this debate obviously isn't gonna go away. And you never know, it might work this time

I reckon someone (or some people) asking for this forum should post a list of a few thread topics that they'd expect to see in there or that they'd start themselves. That might give the idea more force

The argument that there should be one just coz there's a women's forum is a bad way to go about it though, so I'd advise people stop using that one as it just isn't gonna work

Show that there's reason for it by suggesting threads, then maybe it will be given another trial

You're obsessed for bumping up the thread

What does me being a guy have to do with it? I should be obsessed with the gay forum coz I'm a guy?

I'm not too sure what was so funny about what I said? All I was trying to ascertain was whether the supposed abuse by men's posts or by people arguing with posts made by men within it. If it's the former then I'm not sure what that would consist of, if it's the latter then the moderators should be doing a job.
