What would be a good OS for the EEE PC 701 2GB?
My parent has one, but the OS on it is so stupid (The Stock OS) that it cannot use Sudo due to permission issues. (Therefore I cannot update anything)
Sorry If I sound ragey, but I hate Asus for there stupidity.
What OS would be good for its crampt HDD space?
Thanks.

Google revealed this: http://www.linux-netbook.com/video/easy ... 01-and-901
And apparently it's possible with Gentoo: http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Asus_Eee_PC_701
That also linked to this: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EeePC

I've installed mandriva on a three gig harddrive, with plenty of room to spare. When you install it, you have to choose other when it asks about graphical desktops, and then choose LXDE(which is pretty nice).
