i've discovered an interesting trend in top selling relationships books for aspergers on amazon (thanks to callista for help)

in the top 10 books, these 4 are among the top:

#2: http://www.amazon.com/Other-Half-Asperg ... 931282048/

#4: http://www.amazon.com/Life-Partner-Spou ... 93457547X/

#5: http://www.amazon.com/Aspergers-Love-Co ... 843101157/

#9: http://www.amazon.com/Asperger-Couples- ... 1843102536

it turns out maxine aston had a very messy divorce with her aspergers husband and there's been a bunch of postings here on WP about issues with her.

and kathy marshack also had a very messy divorce from an AS husband - here's some pages about her:
http://kathymarshack.com/
http://www.columbian.com/news/2011/feb/ ... e-officer/

if you do some deep research on kathy you'll find plenty more.

these two women comprise 40% of the top 10 books for relationship advice on the top 10 books. i don't know much about the others, but this is pretty concerning.

How amusing...
These books should be pulled off the market. The advise in them are worthless when the authors couldn't stay in a relationship themselves...

I haven't read any of those books but from what I've heard about em from others who read em; the theme is that Aspies are not fit for relationships. I readily admit that Aspies can have lots of relationship problems but I think lots can do quite well in relationships if them & their partner are both willing to try to understand the other & compromise what they can. Those books make Aspies sound like they are incapable of compromising or changing anything & I know from my personal relationship experience with my ex that I can compromise & change quite a lot. Those books are rubbish

I would give these ladies some credit for learning from their relationship mistakes with Aspies, something akin to, they went through the pain so you do not have to. I believe I could benefit from someone who says, here is how I screwed up more than someone who has not had the mis-steps...or the battle scars from the relationship.

What I heard from people who've read those books; those ladies are not talking about how they screwed up in the relationship & instead they are talking about how they got hurt by being in a relationship with an Aspie. The screw-up they claim they made was dating an Aspie . I got the impression hat those women wrote those books because they got ticked-off by their Aspies & they want to warn other women what they are getting into with Aspie men
