Neuro-Typical.
Basically... someone who is not on the Autism Spectrum and is not afflicted by any other neurological disorder.
It refers to a "normal" person. Wink

I mentioned this to my daughter's psychologist and she thought I made the term up.

Many autistic people may have never joined and autism community and therefore may not know other autistic people. I didn't know what an NT was before becoming a member of Wrong Planet.

I learned what NT was very early in the process or learning about AS (in websites, not in books). I think NT (neuro-typical) is used to avoid calling people outside the spectrum "normal", because that would mean people with Autism is not normal.

Hey, 'NT' stands for 'Not Trained'...as in, not trained to flex to variances of human minds and human results. ...Ok, Ok. It stands for neurotypical. LOL
