It's a common phenomenon for girls (or boys) to wear items of their boyfriend's clothing, such as hoodies, shirts or socks. And I'd like to know what it is that both parties like about it.
Do/did any of you wear your boyfriends clothes? Why do you enjoy it?
Does/did your girlfriend wear your clothes? Why do you enjoy it?

I do sometimes wear my boyfriend's hoodies because they're soft and comfortable like a blanket and it smells like him so is comforting like a constant hug.
And he likes it when I wear his clothes, he says he felt all giddy (nice giddy) when I borrowed his socks a few days ago.

I always wear his shirts to bed and around the house. They smell like him, so it's nice when he's not here.
Although i'm glad he doesn't wear my clothes. Laughing

That would be sweet! Incidentally (or not so) I saw a trailer for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes sequel. MY GOD Robert Downey Jr makes a compelling woman-who's-clearly-not-a-woman.

I love wearing my husband's hoodies because they are big and comfy and smell like him.

I find that hoodies made for women are more form fitted than male hoodies so it's kind of nice to wear his for a lazy night at home.

Yes I've worn my boyfriend's clothes in the past when I could fit them, they feel much better to wear than the clothes I wear as it is.

If he's someone I really like or love then I love wearing his hoodies and shirts. I think it's because of the smell and the feeling of having a part of that person when he's not with you.

I love it when my girlfriend wears my clothes. Makes me feel really loved somehow.

Once, she left her towel round my house after a visit, and I slept with it every night and sniffed it until I fell asleep. It was just so comforting to smell her scent on it and I used it like a teddy or comfort blanket type thing. I guess this is a very similar thing to people wearing their partners' clothes for the emotional comfort.

.... I miss sleeping with that towel.

I have been known to wear a partner's clothes. Generally, it's a jacket or pants/shorts though. I don't recall ever doing it while simply dating. I did it a lot while I was with my husband.

My aspie ex wore my clothes a lot, and tried to take them as his own sometimes too, lol.
I have worn several of my current boyfriend's coats and I have to admit, I find the smell of his things comforting.
He uses a floral disinfectant spray (one of his quirks) and on bad evenings when we have had issues, I have found myself sniffing the cushion he leans against or anything else he has here... it makes me feel closer to him, and as if he is still here.
He has never worn anything of mine yet.

I wore my ex-boyfriend's hoodie. It was way too big for me and smelled like him. Very Happy It made me feel safe and protected, like he was still there.
