Song/rhythm always stuck in head?

I'm AS and I always seem to always have a song or beat stuck in my head. It doesn't bother me though, because the song is always one that I like (for example I have "Expander" by Future Sound of London playing in my head right now). I know this happens to a lot of NT's too but maybe it's a kind of auditory self stimming? Not sure. Sometimes I'll clack my teeth together to the beat if I'm really feeling it!

You're not alone in that regard. I always have a beat in my head, whether it's a song I heard recently or just somethin' I made up.

This is an involuntary trait of me. It does not matter whether I like the song or not that sticks in my ears. It only depends on how frequently I'm exposed to it by hearing. Unfortunately, the latter happens to me too often, as my colleagues disregard that I detest all-time commercial radio listening at my workplace on a dirt-cheap poor sounding clock-radio unit. There are strings of notes (I wouldn't say 'melody') and rhythms that I don't want to be in my head for some reason, mostly because I like to be delicate about what I listen to, and don't like simplistic over-repetitive 'music' that is further reduced by the aforementioned radio unit's 'sound quality'. I want to be the one who determines what to listen to, not some outer source. I have a decent audio equipment at home, so I can use it whenever I want to listen to some real music, and I would recommend it to my colleagues above mentioned too, unless I wouldn't fear of their utter misunderstanding towards me. They could use earphones either, as I do regularly for refuge...

I'm this way too. Unfortunately, if I hear something I don't like, it gets stuck in my head real easily.

I listen to the rhythms and melodies in my head like I would listen to ones played on an MP3 player; I just have to be careful not to bob my head along with them and look like a weirdo in public

I hate getting songs stuck in my head. It repeats over and over, and it blocks other thoughts from entering my mind, making me all agitated. There isn't a song stuck in my head at the moment (thank god!) but when there is, I hate it! I can never get to sleep at night when there's a song going round and round in my head.

I remember once at school when we done Spanish, the teacher put on a tape with a woman singing in Spanish, and for the rest of the day everyone in the class kept on singing this song. It must have got stuck in everyone's heads!

Doesn't this happen to everyone?

But yeah, happens to me all the time! I don't mind it, though - makes my day more enjoyable.

This always happens to me! I had a song stuck in my head like yesterday and i forgot what it was YAY! LOL!
