Wolfram Alpha expert AI, what do you think about it?

I am a student library science, most recently during a lecture on databases my professor was talking about a very interesting AI Expert System called, Wolfram Alpha http://www.wolframalpha.com/ she was very impressed by it, and to be honest other students and I'm also

Better than Microsoft's Clippy, but I don't think it has fundamentally solved any core AI problems. I just typed "lambda tree applications" into it and got a Google-like useless answer. When these things don't know what you're talking about, they spew out non-answers. (Well, that's what Google used to do - now it only returns pages of useless results no matter what you type.)

Thing is I can exceed the standard computational time with only 6 characters X!/X!!.

I spend almost whole day on Wolfram Alpha and signed for test trail for Wolfram Alpha Pro, i can only said Wolfram Alpha is aspie paradise that make my intellectual orgasm , that's a joke but Wolfram Alpha is really really cool

It is very good, but not yet great.

PS: I blew my load when I first saw it too!

I remember playing with WA couple years ago. It works fine if you are retrieving purely numeric data, and mainly for fun, but in my opinion it’s nothing spectacular in the AI sense.

Develop similar algorithms for linguistic data and even I might use the word AI (although still in quotation marks).
