Was it the same teacher in all of those shots? It looked like two different teachers

I second this. It seems as if more grade-school teachers are becoming more lenient when it comes to teaching.

It does not surprise me that there are horrible people in the world, but what does surprise me a little..still..is that somehow life contrives to sometimes put those people in positions of total power over those that are utterly the most vulnerable, and allows them the freedom to do to them as they wish :( How the f**k does that happen?

Good question. I think people in positions of total power think that just because they have "total power", they think of themselves as better than everyone else.

The relevant section to read is this one
The videos show one teacher’s aide, identified as paraprofessional Alger Coleman, repeatedly assaulting an 11-year-old autistic boy, while a second aide sometimes encouraged him.
Coleman was arrested on child cruelty and simple battery charges, but the second aide has not yet been charged in the case.
“I want her charged,” the boy’s mother said. “Yes, today — like seriously, today.”
The second aide has been reassigned but remains employed by the school district.
The mother of one child shown in the videos said the school never contacted her to inform her of the alleged abuse.
“I actually got the call through (the Division of Family and Children Services),” the woman told WSB-TV. “The school never notified me of this incident. Never.”

The school needs to be investigated for a) allowing the abuse to happen b) reassigning the second aide instead of charging him and c) not contacting the parents of the victim

I think the large man was the one arrested, if you get near the end of the video you will see him brutally hit the taller boy in the head from behind so hard it pole axes him.
The woman that you me and the entire world can see clearly abusing a smaller boy in the video is the one still with a job, for some reason.

I'll take your word for it as I can't bring myself to watch this abuse.

I watched it and I feel sick. Why do they hire thugs to be special needs aides??

Sorry, I should have suggested not watching it I actually put that in my post then removed it because I thought it was just me being unnecessarily emotional, it upset me quite a bit.

These are the children that need the most protection because (like my son) they cannot tell. And thats what bothers me most.

My daughter is also receiving special education geared specifically for autistic children. Thankfully, she attends a school district renowned for their special ed programs, which includes having the kids taught by competent, caring teachers.
If something like this ever happened to my little girl, I swear, I'd go down to the school, and go ballistic!
