Ok Since my previous question went nowhere I thought I would rephrase this one.

Yesterday I got a more in depth report from my Autism screening which took place late last year there was some reports from various years of my life one of which read "Raven Standard Matrices indicted I was in the "borderline range"" Would anybody know what "borderline range" would be is it related to IQ?

Also I read this quote from wikipedia "A 2007 study provided evidence that individuals with Asperger syndrome, a high-functioning autism spectrum disorder, score higher than other individuals on Raven's tests. Another 2007 study provided evidence that individuals with classic autism, a low-functioning autism spectrum disorder, score higher in Raven's tests than in Wechsler tests. In addition, the individuals with classic autism were providing correct answers to the Raven's test in less time than individuals without autism, although erring as often." I asked a family member interpret what was on my report and what was said on wikipedia and he believes that the borderline would mean I would be borderline Aspergers However, I tend to see things in a more negative manner (realistic?) I'm leaning towards some sort of intellectual delay. Also this test was done back in 1999 so could it be the person administering the test could be wrong?

If anybody here had such tests could you please chime in and tell me If I would be correct that there would be some delay or if the family member would be correct that it shows that I am somehow more intelligent then previously mentioned

It also should be noted that today I will be going for yet another Psychological Assessment this time for Voc-rehab so hopefully I'll score higher then I did in my teens and whatever doubts I have could be laid to rest but until then...can anybody please answer my above question(s)

Thanks.

According to their website it is an IQ test. Or more specificly a nonverbal IQ.

So u think or it seems it is a test to test you abilities to recognize visual patterns. I took thier online test this morning still waitting for resualts :/ I hope I'm not required to pay to get just a score

if were intelectualy disabled parents woud have heard about it at a young age,in teens/adults it requires a full assessment of capacity and functioning, not just an IQ test.
donna williams once said on her blog she was ID because her verbal IQ was low on the WAIS test but her performance IQ wasnt-so she wasnt ID,its equaly low in ID and also affects entire functioning and causes challenging behavior, even in those of us diagnosed with mild ID,its noticible from an early age because of missing all the developmental 'mile stones'.

the ravens test isnt quite the genious iq testing system for autists that they have us believe.
had once done the online one but came out with an iq of thirty six-have got no imagination and am unable to guess the steps in what comes next in those pictures so obviously will score low in a test that is based on those pictures,in reality am diagnosed with mild ID after four months of specialist assessment whilst detained in an ID secure hospital, had originaly been diagnosed at a severe level in childhood because they coudnt seperate the autism from it,have even been labeled with profound ID before by a MH pyschologist.

I took an online Ravens matrices test but I didn't want to pay for the results.
Most of the test was so easy I don't know how it measured anything at all.
On the last page there were 2 questions I thought were challenging.
In high school I took an aptitude test and was told that I did very well on a part that measured abstract reasoning but very badly on the rest of the test.
I remember thinking that must have been the part that was so easy. It may have been the Ravens test.
Unfortunately, real life is not a Raven's matrix. I'm a dunce in the real world.

The online Raven Standard Matrices, I found, is a purely spatial test and the basis for the danish Mensa test, but this is far more difficult. The Raven, I found wasn´t.....because it was about boosting peoples egos, so they´d come back for more.

If any of you have a link to a better Raven test,- please let me know.
