Several things, it looks at first glance like a homophobic bigot who picks a fight with a stranger.

Secondly this is something which could well end up in a criminal court, I think a better thing for a person who films it to do is to contact the policemen. Give them a statement, also you may have to hand in the memory card from the camera to them. Also do not post the film on youtube or the web until after the criminal case has been finished, as the posting of the film might cause a problem.

What if a jury trial is required, if many people see the film it might be difficult then to find people suitable to be on a jury who have not been tainted by having seen the film.

I'm pretty sure it's not illegal to record something in an airport and post it on YouTube. Whether it's a good idea or not is a different question.

I feel like there has to be more to the story than just a random, unprovoked attack on a gay guy.
'Cause I mean, who does that?

Am I being unreasonably prejudiced when, upon hearing that this incident happened in Texas, I wasn't a bit surprised? Then again, I was happy to see how how a crowd of people had tackled the homophobic cracker, so obviously not all Texans are bad.

Had the attacker never seen a gay guy before? I just don't understand how he plans to get through life attacking every person he sees who might possibly be gay. He'll spend all his time in jail for assault. :?

Oh, he'll be in jail a lot, and not because he's never seen gays before, but because he's just a cracker peckerwood bigot.

Actually, I've come to automatically assume that just about everything you say is prejudiced.

I'm surprise you haven't dismissively assumed that they had to be vistors from a blue state.

Nope, the cowboy hatted guy, who I believe helped tackle him, was speaking with a Texas drawl.

Not in my opinion. The moment I read Texas I said, "Oh, Texas.", like "Well that explains it."

that guy or his doppelganger rear ended me in a traffic fender bender in 2005, and he got out of his panel truck furious at me [even though it was his fault, I stopped for a school bus] and banged on my car and tried to open my door and threatened me and called me all sorts of nasty [but unimaginative, like a little kid swearing] names. then he took off [leaving the scene of an accident] while I called the cops on him. he eventually came back before the cops came [lucky for him], banged on my car and cussed some more, then the cop came and it turns out they were buddies. they gabbed for a few minutes, then the cop came over and glanced at my car and said, "under the limit, be on your way." I swear, in my experience, 90% of 'em give the other 10% a bad rep. :hmph:

One thing I noticed was the security people. There were at least two in view but neither responds directly until civilian bystanders first try to subdue the attacker. I am guessing they may have been waiting for backup? Just seems strange to have them look on while it escalates.
