I'm a lesbian, and I don't ever remember being attracted to a guy romantically. There was a point where I liked guys for friends better than girls.

However,I've noticed that ALOT of guys--especially where I live--just want one thing(you all know what that is). I'm not saying that EVERY guy is a sexist or that he is a evil creep. But,I've had ALOT of bad experiances with guys and it has gotten to the point where everytime a guy says,"Hey,sexy, whassssssssuuuuuuuuuuuup???! !!" I want to rip his balls off and make him eat it.

Does any other woman feel this way or something simular(sp?) to it?

I'm alright with guys. What I really don't get though is why men do a lot of generalizing about women and support eachother for it. Yet if a woman generalizes or says something negative about guys, men and women go after them. I just don't get it. I still don't really understand men even though I think I do. I do know that men think differently then women do when it comes to sex. I know of course there's acceptions to this but you never hear about what women want in a guy much.

No. It sounds like you have the opposite problem as I have - I'm straight and attract more lesbian women than men, and you're lesbian and attract more men. *sigh*
Maybe something about AS interferes with gaydar/straightdar (or whatever it is that straight people have).

A lot of men are sexist, but unconsciously so; they're enacting what they've been taught to enact by our culture. Most have good hearts, even if they're not deep enought to think out the sociology of it all. True misogynists are unplesant to be around, but fairly rare.

You know now that I think about it as you said you attract guys. I know that when it comes to lesbianism, most guys are into that kind of thing depending on what you look like. Then there's some guys that think they can change one's sexual orientation. Now I'm not generalizing all guys into this category, but I've come across some guys who are real into that espeacially the idea of having a threesome with another woman. Does this kind of thing happen after you've told the guy?

I've never had a problem with men. I never paid any attention to anyone in primary school, then I went to an all-girls secondary school. The only guys I had semi-regular contact with are gay. Plus the majority of my friends from school are gay/bi, so we were just as sexist if not more by the time we got round to six form (which is co-ed)!

And now I'm at uni, I don't talk to anyone except for my boyfriend, who behaves himself very nicely. ^___^

It's weird that you're having a problem with guys, because like I said, my friends and I used to just mock them - the more sexist they were, the more we laughed, and I think most of that came from our sexuality (there were two straight members in my friendship group and they were both semi-tomboys).

I agree. It's really rare to find an NT who isn't unconsciously sexist. Normally things aren't quite as bad if you have someone who's already slightly different (gay, aspie, whatever).

I agree that SOME men are sexist...but not all. I have met some really nice men and have met some men who are complete a**holes.
I don't hate men though...I talk to them more than I do females.

Ive noticed the opposite. I hear women constantly talking about how men are like *this* or like *that* or things like: "I know men they're all the same!" and I rarely hear men protest. Howerver, when I make generalizations about women not only do women react very strongly but a lot of men take their side. I honestly think men tend to be more generalizing and certainly WAAAY more categorical than women; but I wonder why women seem to like to generalize about men....

Same reason Men do I guess. But you've got to admit, men who have a topic about just one girl put it as, well women generally are...... Of course everyone's going to react when there's something said catergorizes them into a group. That's why in some extreme cases, they're not allowed like racism.

Oh I have no doubt that certain men will say all women are like ****** if they have a problem with one woman but there seem to be strict social rules, well at least where I live, against women being categorized and stereotyped but I dont notice such rules being applied to men. Men dont protest when women stereotype them; I think the reason is that doing so might make them look like 'victims'. Ive learned the hard way about society's double standard when it comes to victimhood, if a man tries to assert his victim status he's branded as a Loser and both men And women will look down on him alike.

Enough bickering you guys, back on topic. I Wholeheartedly believe based on my own experience and observations that in America today, sexism against men is FAR more socially acceptable than sexism against women. Whenever there's a conflict between a man and a woman(that is-amongst the urban white middle class), the men will side with her against him in order to gain social approval and garnish their image as a gentleman. Women almost ALWAYS support each other whenever one of them has "issues" with a man.
