I dont see how male fakeness is anything new. There will always be men who are socially adept enough to figure out how to deceive and manipulate women into sleeping with them; EVEN though these guys arent exactly what they would have you believe they are. Those who pull it off manage to get in the sack with women and *sometimes* even convince women to marry them. But surely you've heard of womanizers and players. A lot of these guys are fakes and fraudsters but they KNOW how to play the game and manage to win..... :?

Um...that wasn't really a compliment. That was more of a "Um, wow. That is really twisted. Maybe there is something about that that isn't completely wrong?"

Of course it wasnt a compliment! You've just proven LePetitePrinces point that honesty is really not attractive to Most women; in fact its rather repulsive and bland in their eyes. :lol:

I love how when someone suggests that a certain trait or set of traits applies to more than 50% of the population, some naive idealist steps up to promulgate "Im different!" :roll: If you REALLY are different and the exception to the norm than you wouldnt need to go around proclaiming it every time someone makes a generalization. :x

Well I'm female and this is what I think of this:

The opportunity to make a man over into her preferred image, which is: a man that she can show off to her friends;

Why? Who cares what other people think.
Quote:
a man that will come when she calls;

Only if it's an emergency, and that one goes both ways.
Quote:
a man that thinks of no other woman, even his own mother;

Just don't touch, and it's all good. Of course he's going to look, think.
Quote:
a man that will finance her lifestyle;

I can take care of myself. How about a man who won't make me support him?
Quote:
a man that ignores all of her pretentions while assuming none for himself;

No, that's just stupid.
Quote:
a man that accepts that their relationship is all about her desires, her feelings, and her needs;

That's not a relationship, that's slavery.
Quote:
a man that has no friends, no interests, and no life outside their relationship;

Of course not. A relationship does not mean giving up your own life.
Quote:
and a man that she can dump any time and fully expect that he will be available for her in the future

No. Mean and stupid.

Fnord, please date some better women.

Men fake confidence, women fake orgasms. We're not helping each other at all now are we?

Hmmm. Was listening to the Prairie Home Companion a few weeks ago and there was this line (as best I remember):

"That's how women are. They want the truth, the whole truth. But for men truth... truth, is a journey. It could take your whole life to find it."
