Beware guys, you might not be happy about your result. This is not one of those online "IQ tests" where 90% of test takers score over 130.

70 questions, multiple choice, timed:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/testthenation/iq/main/index.shtml

I scored in the mentally retarded range.

It's not accurate.

I consider professionally administered IQ tests to be accurate, not some online test.

Yeah, it is highly biased towards the visual and mathematical side of things, most of it is a guessing game. According to that my IQ is 71 (in other words it is saying I am retarded) yet my IQ has elsewhere been reckoned to be between 130 and 140. I have never taken an official test and wouldn't as I believe IQ tests to be bollocks for the most part.

Edited to fix some punctuation errors, my score was NOT lower than 71 Laughing

Why are you so touchy about IQ? What does it matter anyway? It's pretty meaningless and doesn't matter much.

agreed.

even online tests that charge you money are not at all accurate. I'm not sure you realise what it takes to measure IQ thoroughly Mw99...

I think anybody who takes an online test and pays money for it would have to have a seriously low IQ

I got 91, what does that mean? I'm not familiar with what the IQ ranges are.

I'm pretty sure I did completely crap anyway.

Didn't go through it all. Even though I said I didn't live in the UK, there was a whole section where we're apparently supposed to be familiar with the EU flag, what a UK passport looks like, etc.

91 is a so-so result but it doesn't really matter anyway because I doubt this test has any credibility.
I didn't take the test, it's too dubious.

Yeah, bollocks to put it simply, I mean, who the f**ck would care about sh** like that? And what was with the morphing sh**? There were 8 measly questions to do with language skills and the rest was visual memory and mathematics.

Extremely biased.

Yep, that's where I stopped it. I wouldn't be sure about the exact details of the outline of Germany (where I'm born, went to school and learned such things), not to mention Britain. Same goes for the passport and the font used in the BBC logo.

Plus the test is very weak. The word association test was very simple and had only four or five questions. All of them even more simple than those in other online IQ tests. I don't think that this one is especially accurate or complicated.

Exactly, it was nowhere near comprehensive or in-depth enough.

It didn't tell me if I was retarded or not, but I assume 90 is above the retarded range. Here are my scores:

IQ: 90
1st brain teasers: 6/13
memory: 8/15
logic: 10/14
reasoning: 8/9
Perception: 5/11
2nd brain teasers: 5/8

My tested lQ is in the low 130s, btw.
