This is for the purpose of gathering a census for Fnord of all us deluded, irrational, psychotic religionists on WP. Thus far I know of me, ToadOfSteel, and Khan_Sama. Iamnotaparakeet and Ragtime have left PPR because of the degree of hostility towards them, so I'm not counting them here.

Post here if you believe in a God. Feel free to make your beliefs more explicit if you so choose.

I am a Protestant Christian, Presbyterian to be exact.

Atheists: Kindly leave us in at least relative peace on this thread. You have plenty of other opportunities to mock us. Make another thread for that express purpose if you so desire.

*Wonders whether to bother making bets with ToadOfSteel about when the first atheist post denouncing us as fools will be. Definitely on the first page, but will it be in the top five? Will an atheist be the one to post "first!" to this thread? Only time will tell.*

The caps are a nice touch, but you really need some misspellings and L33t speak in there to be convincing. Atheists don't believe in mental straitjacket of grammar you know.

Well - I guess that answers that question.

I also believe in God, though I am not usually very outspoken about it.

Edit: I thought this would come right under AG's post. Looks like this thread is going to be popular.

I was expecting that little line to either dissuade atheists from posting out of spite and not wanting to fall into my predictions, or provoke AG into making that sort of post. It succeeded in the latter, let's see if it does in the former. I don't think it will, but it was worth a shot.

So am I to understand that Dox47 and NobelCynic wish to register as part of the official PPR Delusional Religionist club?

What happened to that thread about Chever? That was strange. It was up to 5 pages and now it's gone.

It actually had reached 7 pages. It was, as pointed out by participants from page 1, in flagrant violation of WP rules and therefore locked, then deleted. (I actually though it would just end with a lock, then it disappeared) Anyways, discussion of locked topics is banned, and this presumably extends to nonexsistent threads as well (:roll:) so let's try not to bring the Wrath of Mod onto this thread sooner than is necessary.

Can you provide repeatably verifiable evidence of Mod? Is there one Mod, or many? If only one, what is he, she, or it the Mod of? Is this the Mod of the Goslins, the Fistulans, or the Moose?

Atheism is a fundamentalist outlook that is similar to religious fundamentalists. Sometimes I forget that there are still bible thumpers taking everything literally. Atheists are the ones telling them they are wrong. Let them fight until eternity.

I believe in a creator. I've felt the presence of higher spiritual beings. I believe God is Infinite Intelligence. We are all infinite.

Maybe we were spawned by aliens, who knows. But then who created the aliens?

I believe that if there is a God, then God is so vast, so infinite, so Holy, that not one person, one book, one church, or even one religion could ever accurately or adequately describe whoever or whatever God may be. I also think that to believe otherwise is delusional thinking.

But that's just my opinion.

I agree Fnord. It's very personal. It may also be delusional at times. That doesn't make spiritual experiences less real though.
Check out this thread. I was hoping more people would have responded to the delusional experiences of the supernatural.
