This year, mine will be that I learn to manage my money, and handle my compulsive spending.

What's yours?

To get my own place.

To get some psychological help, but I've made and failed at this one for a few consecutive new years now.

To be obsessive and unsociable, and to procrastinate a lot.

^ That sounds nice... :)

Um,

I dont really make resolutions any more as I never can keep them, I think if I was more driven I would do so. I sort of can be driven but that is more of a stress behaviour, it is not my true personality.

I would like to be more resilient during the wild ride that is likely to be in 2010. Also I would like to discover how I would like to be in terms of activity and lifestyle.

Also I would like to figure out how to be less like Cookie Monster and instead be more like Gwyneth Paltrow, or some naturally healthy eater who is unlikely to be photographed in a carpark cramming chocolates into their mouth.

I would like to do a lot of things but that can be hard.

I don't tend to make resolutions because I can't keep them.

The best time to start making a change (like going on a diet or quitting smoking) is at the end of January.
January 1 is the hardest time to do it.

I saw an article advising people that were planning to quit smoking as a resolution, to wait a few weeks before they start to quit because that gives more chance of success. makes sense.

but in 2010 I might become a Melbourne Tigers member. I have been going to a few games and it seems that it is cheaper to become a member.

To make as much money as possible. For years I've wanted to be rich, now I'm actually doing something about it.

When I get rich I'm donating some to autism charaties, so it's in all your best interests to wish me luck :P

What are your guys' NYRs for 2010?

Well, here is mine in case if you are wondering:

1. Lose at least 40 lbs. by 2011 (maybe 20 more lbs. by my high school reunion)
2. Continue with college education
3. Learn how to cook by getting a family member to teach one how to do it
4. Would like to enter into karaoke contests with a possibility of a winning prizes
5. Get a promotion at my workplace by working harder than usual
6. Save money so that my brother, my niece, and myself can move out of Mom and Pop’s nest
7. To find a love interest and/or get back on the dating scene
8. Learn to pay taxes and bills
9. Maintain my anger/temper to avoid exploding in the most stressful/unexpected situations
10. Get a fishing license so I could go out late morning/early afternoon fishing (I love to fish, it's just that I hate getting up at 4AM to go catch trout/salmon.)

Only one: To be satisfied for what I am and forget about what I am not.

I'll add that one to my list, as well. I'm only what I am, right?
