Thomas Jefferson, Bill Gates, Tim Burton, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, and Vincent Van Gogh weren't/aren't normal. It looks like being abnormal empowers us to make history.

Young supposedly normal people are easy to influence if they respect you, and can often be convinced to be interested in anything, and you will be thanked later when they become accomplished professionals. On the other hand, our social disorder allows us to make choices based on different rules and have interests that don't change easily. We are more able to think deeper into our area of interest, making us great at specialization in a particular field. Our dislike of the high plasticity of interests and conversations which leads to only a shallow understanding of life is both a weakness and a strength.

Being highly adaptable, as a supposedly NT person is, has its down sides. In addition to the difficulty of learning deep subjects mentioned above, it enables one to forget information easily if it is found to be unnecessary to ones life in the short term. It also keeps people from getting too grounded and rooted, with the exceptions of pronounced experiences that are more difficult to erase. It also makes people more basic and interested in the needs of life such as reproductive issues and being accepted.

Supposedly NT and people with AS are right in their judgements and defenses of each other in that both ways are right and wrong. Unfortunately, one can not have the strengths of both without putting in considerable effort to be something he or she is not. It's hard for people whose "social brains" are wired for separate purposes to feel comfortable together, but it is the NT's responsibility to accommodate the person with AS, due to their adaptability and social ease. It is best that people with AS have some respect for the NT way of life, but it is probably better that people with AS group together in a kind of scientific arrangement, working on tasks applicable to their obsessions.

Without survivalists (NT's) there can be no dependent class of specialists (Aspies), and without specialists, there can be no superior advancement of mankind. Well, I hope you can figure how this relates to the topic...

Socially ret*d? isn't that nice.

Normal? whats normal? and why should we try to act like it?

Not my fault we act like that. Well it is my fault in my case.

Normal is a wonderful thing where you can do things that make a difference and contribute to the world instead to laying around in your parent's house doing whatever your fixation is.

Being normal makes you do things that make a difference and contribute to the world? since when? Most people who have changed the world for the better were not considered 'normal' because they dared to go against the grain.

I don't know where you are getting the thing about laying around in their parents house from and why you consider it an insult. Don't most people who are not old enough to live on their own do that anyway? even nt's.

What is your definition of normal? It seems to change a lot, at one it was considered not normal to be gay.

Name any person who made a difference in the world, I can assure you that almost none of them were autistic. All this "Edison had aspergers" stuff is a lie.

It's fine when you're a teenager, when you're in your mid to late 20's with no job and no plans to have one because "you don't want to be a cog in a machine" it's stupid.

Thomas Jefferson: , can't officially prove he had aspegers.

Bill Gates: Never proven

Tim Burton: He's just crazy, plus when was the last time he had a movie that was successful?

Issac Newton: See Thomas Jefferon.

Albert Einstein: See above.

Vincent Van Gogh: See above.

Daryl hannah (she was diagnosed)
Gary Numan (diagnosed)
Craig Nicholls (diagnosed of the band The Vines)

Those are just a couple. You can verify it yourself however you will nit pick simply because you hate people with aspergers and already have made up your mind that everyone that is successful is not autistic.

I love how you bash those who are obviously eccentric claiming what have they done lately? Well they don't need to please you. They are rich!

I don't know who the first and third are but Gary Numan is just a singer, that doesn't do anything for the world.

It wouldn't matter if people who were diagnosed with autism did do anything for the world people like you would undiagnose them or attempt to somehow claim what they do as insignificant. Daryl Hannah is an actress. Unlike the picture you paint of all of us living with mommy, there are people who despite their autism and dealing with rude people like yourself go on to do wonderful things.

You are the one who keeps adjusting this conversation to suit your hatred.

How many more times are you going to adjust this conversation like a rubber band in order to keep up with your bigotry and pretend you can't be wrong. I see this all the time with people. People like yourself only think you are perfect because you refuse introspection. In case you don't know what introspection is (you come across as young and you have your life made because you don't have to work for much of anything hence your lack of empathy for people you consider too different for you), well google is your friend.

People like you don't want to learn, you just want to cling onto stereotypes and hope you can come across as smart.

Some of the quirkiest people have done good things in the world.

Michael Jackson was a big humanitarian and look at how you so called normal people treated him. He was called a freak. He was very shy but managed to pull through with his interest despite his shyness. This doesn't mean he was autistic but he sure was child like. None of his other siblings ended up like that and they all lived in the same house. He was different. People who hate difference will downplay anything a different person does and lie about that person. This is out of hatred. If that is what "normal" is. I am proud of not being normal.

Some of these so called normal people if they think we need to be like them or suffer abuse maybe they need to get it through their heads that perhaps it's the abusive nature of "normal" people that makes them look like less than positive role models.

Maybe people like you just haven't been abused enough to get it. Maybe you haven't felt excluded enough to get it.

I've been working and on my own since I was 22.

My older NT sister OTOH hasn't had a job for longer than a month in years. She's been in and out of jail too.

And another anti-Aspie hypothesis goes *pop*

It doesn't matter if they're diagnosed. How convenient, now you can claim anyone has aspergers. Even more normal people have done fantastic things for the world. So the child molestations were a "lie"?

I also love how you people demean normal people for being "abusive". I've had normal people "abuse" me by telling me to stop being ret*d and act normal in public.
