I have been told by women I'm average looking (I actually might be less than that). I always have wondered if I were hot and still an Aspie, if I would be more successful than if I were average/mediocre looking and an NT. My guess is that if I were hot, I'd have more women interested in me at first,...

I've had the first problem too, don't get me wrong. And I have had friends on some occasions, but a lot of times people I know (usually I work with them) will have things and never include me. They will notice, on occasion, it bothers me, ask me what's wrong, and when I tell them, include me in some...

It seems like a lot of people on here are frustrated when people want them to come to events and intrude on their "alone time." While I have experienced this issue as well, does anyone else have the problem of wanting to go and do stuff and being unable to make friends. It seems with every...

That happens to me too, except they rarely invite me in the first place. Usually I tag along once or twice and then stop hearing from them.

As a result, I just avoid social things alltogether.

People treat me as "disabled" when I try to make normal conversation, and I'm sick of it.

Have you guys sufferred from facing more difficult situations if people know you have Aspergers or at least are a little weird? This makes it extra difficult if people in my family interact with me, they except me to do something odd and are quick to criciticize my behavior, even if other people do ...

I hate it at situations like that. I have mentioned before it hurts my feelings that I am not invited a lot, but I'd rather not attend then go and be ignored. Any advice on approaching groups of people like that?

It would be a temptation, but I wouldn't. I would try to learn social skills and keep the traits I like (which I am trying to do now)
