I don't particularly hate insects or spiders, but there are a few critters which I can't stand, such as worms or centipedes. When I see one, I can feel my stomach turn. If you want to see me puke my guts out, put one of those in my hand 8O.

Nah... It depends on the person. Some may start having philosophical conversations. The conversations become much interesting if all people involved are drunk . If you ask them to stand up and walk on a straight line, however, they might stumble over something and fall  That's the first th...

I feel slightly uncomfortable around:
- People from my generation (adolescents).
- Gypsies (don't ask).
- Groups of noisy people, especially women.
- Outgoing people who insist on having "small talk" with you.
- People who whisper.
- People who stare too much.

i dont know what the big deal is. it's disgusting and i'll never do it. I used to think so too. After you try it (with the right person that is), it won't seem so gross anymore ;) Watch out though, it can be gross if one of you has a bad breath, or ate (very) recently . Sorry, didn't mean to g...

well? it's a victimless crime. if it were to be legalized, it'd be much safer and there could be standards and checks put into place to maintain safety for all involved. it could bring in more revenue towards local and federal taxes, and it would provide a service to people. Yes, definitely agree. ...

Well, "nervous breakdown", which I assume is the same thing as what you call "meltdown", is basically a moment in which a person is overwhelmed by emotions and cannot think clearly, due to stress.
"Temporary insanity" is what I like to call it ;)

I've never been able to control them past holding them at bay for a short time. I feel it coming, and I try to hide out, and let it take it's course. There are times that I don't notice it in time, or it comes on too quick, and I end up feeling like an idiot, because I frightened everyone around me...

Thanks for replying. I suppose you're right. However, I should make an effort to change myself too. Nice to hear about your son, but I'm not sure if college will have the same impact on me ;). This is my last year of high school. The problem is not necessarily the possibility of having AS, it's the ...

Yes I think they may have some sort of simple language. I saw somewhere that chimps use different sounds to express different things, such as: "Lookie! Food!" ,"Look out!" or "Look at me!" (in the mating season ) . I'm sure all animals communicate with each other in a way or another.

It sounds like enough of a possibility. You seem very much like the rest of us, going by your description. As for how to cope... I'm still figuring out that one myself.

I hope you'll make yourself at home here. Welcome!

Thanks.

Hi guys. I accidentally found out about asperger's syndrome (until then I wasn't aware that such a thing exists), and to my surprise, most characteristics associated with it kind of hit home. It was like a sort of "enlightenment" :) You see, I'm a normal person, with normal, loving parents, and a re...
