Then there is Dr. Martens.... I cannot stop collecting them or wearing and i am not stopping anytime soon. Oh god, I LOVE my Docs! Great obsession, a bit expensive, but... I'm obsessed with human behavior. I read just about everything I can get. I love how the brain works and what evolution it went...

Isn't there anybody who would just like to go to Amsterdam to check out the historical architecture, the art galleries, and the scenery? I'd love to travel overseas but have absolutely NO interest in doing so to get stoned. Does that make me weird, even for an Aspie? It doesn't mean I'm a goodie-go...

Yeah, but like I asked, what would happen if we separated the two spectrum? Wouldn't the same thing happen just on a higher level of intelligence?

Sorry, I don't want to lose this. So, I tend to wonder what would happen if you took the people like us, in the aspergers spectrum, and separated them from the people in the lower spectrum. Most of the bad vibe on this forum is because of our interaction with the lower spectrum. Worried about job is...

I was sitting around today thinking about autism and how it seems that the lower a person's social IQ they higher their intelligence IQ. People like Einstein were children on a social level yet his brain excelled in magical ways. Guys like VanGogh, he was brilliant, but I can see the torment from hi...

When you mean by the same fate, do you mean by the dating game? I meant the old line of 'your duty to replenish the human race' and the same fate is 'those who were bullied into 'finding/getting a girlfriend and letting nature take it's course'. There is a reason men with families are some of the h...

My boss keeps telling me, "You need to find a nice girl!" I laugh to myself thinking, "What, you don't think I'm trying?", every time she says it. *shakes his head in disbelief*

I am so sick and tired of people telling me that there's nothing wrong with me. You just have to stop being so insensitive. You're just depressed. They don't understand that I have a big f'ing hole! I'm wired differently! I come here and I feel at home. It's like all of these people here are telling...

One of the most important things for us is feedback. Since I can't interpret non-verbal language and cues naturally, I'm often shy and insecure; afraid of saying the wrong thing or having already said the wrong thing. I need my partner to give me a lot of feedback and encouragement. She tells me di...

I was over there in 2005. I loved it, although I nearly had a meltdown at the first coffee shop we stopped at. I was definitely not prepared for the potency of the weed. The biggest bit of advice I can give you is... Get yourself a copy of the Smokers Guide to Amsterdam. We didn't get ours until we ...

I've been driving since about 21. My mom wouldn't let me take my test while I lived with her until I could pay for my own insurance. In the first few years I got tons of tickets and lost my license. After I realized that my car insurance was way to high I calmed down a bit. Now I won't usually go mo...

Wow, every message I read here puts me closer to goal. My short term memory is a complete waste of time. Like a lot of people here, if I don't write it down or put it into longterm memory right away I lose it. I use Google Calendar and Notebook through my cell phone to help me remember things. Like ...

I know I was tested when I was in first grade, there I scored 160. Later in High School I remember taking a test and scoring in the upper 130s somewhere. I've heard that the culture free tests they have out there now are heavy in logic and lack language questions. I'd love to take one of those. I ne...
