| If I were him, I would want you to talk to me about it. If he or his parents (if he is a minor) are unaware of AS, then getting a proper diagnosis could possibly do wonders in assisting in his academic future. I think it's wonderful that you notice and honor his differences, such as allowing him ext... |

| Everyone has different abilities/support/limitations. Sometimes people do just whine when they can "just do it", while other people genuinely have limitations compared to other people in the same boat. I have yet to experience any "special treatment" or witness anyone with autism receive such in the... |

| Computer certifications aren't worth the paper they're written on. Things that count; 1. Experience 2. Having a strong interest in computers 3. Being able to learn by yourself (and on the run). 4. Having a good memory or documenting everything 5. Being around on blogging sites, linkedin and other c... |

| The person that cuts my hair I know quite well. But she did a bit of an awful job on my last haircut but I couldn't tell her. Next time I'm bringing in a picture of how I want it cut. You are brave to go back after she did an awful job. But if you show her a picture, i'm sure it'll be more how you ... |

| If you're a guy, why not get a set of clippers with attachments and cut your own? The attachments prevent the hair from getting cut too short, and with a little practice you could give yourself a decent short cut. yep, I just did this about an hour ago! I'm always hesitant to cut it myself because ... |

| Did you guys study and take your certs on your own, or take a structured class? I notice that my college offers classes geared towards taking/passing certs, but isn't it doable studying solo? I would rather spend the structured class time in classes specifically meant required towards my major. |

| I have had a lifetime of serious anxiety. Finding out that I had AS was a big step because it let me know where alot of the anxiety was coming from. Understanding the anxiety allowed me to rationalize the irrational, and that enabled me to bring myself closer to normality. My meds were helpful too, ... |

If you are her friend, and enjoy her as a person, then why not stay her friend?
You did say that no one likes her though, but if you like her as a person then why not stay her friend. |

I also have a hard time on the phone.
One thing that sometimes helps is I write down things to say on a paper, then have it handy to refer to if I need it.. This is more useful when I know exactly what the call is about or what I need/want to say. |
